Concealing Smell Of Bud (READ BEFORE POSTING!!!!)

  1. Ok, so there has been a lot of "how do I hide my weed smell!" threads. There are many ways to do this, such as an air tight "mason jar" pictures of the jars, and purchasing info can be found

    http://www.specialtybottle.com/index.asp?PageAction=Custom&ID=30&gclid=CKn17bOKmYsCFQI2ZQodwRK6DQ

If you cant figure it out, you put your weed in the airtight jar, and no air can enter or leave the jar, because the glass is too thick to penetrate, so the smell of marijuana can not travel through the air outside the jar. You could buy one of these jars, you may have one laying around, or you can salvage one. By that I mean, if you have a candle you can burn scrape torch or do whatever to get most of the wax out. Once you get most of it all out wash a few times, maybe leave in hot water and let it soak to remove small pieces stuck to the bottom or sides. Most candle jars are air tight and should work fine. You could always put some weed in there and find out.

Another way that I have heard, I don't know for sure if it works or not, is to put it in an altoids sours can. These can be found in almost any gas station, and look like This-

Yet another way is to purchase a smell proof bag from this link–

    http://www.grasscity.co.uk/online_headshop/Smelly_Proof_baggie.cfm?iProductID=615

Here is a description of the bag,
The ‘Smelly Proof' baggies will hide any potent smells and offer the ideal storage solution!

These medium (8" x 7") baggies are made from puncture and tear resistant plastic. The double locking seals ensure that when the bag is sealed it stays smell proof and water tight.

Take it from us, these bags really work!.

Another method, is to put your bud in a freezer bag. Freezer bags can be purchased at grocery stores, and they may even give you one. They look like this-

I am pretty sure this works, and when I made sure it was air tight I could not smell my bud. It wasn't dankity dank dank but it was mids and pretty strong smelling.
Also, another way to conceal smell effectively, is to store your bud with dryer sheets. So, you could find a tennis ball tube/golfball tube and make sure its airtight, and put your weed at the bottom, and stuff with dryer sheets. Another way is to bag the weed, wrap in dryer sheet/s and double bag again. That should hide smell well enough.

I hope I helped, and PLEASE READ OR POST IN THIS THREAD BEFORE MAKING YOUR OWN THREAD!!!!!
    Thanks!

  2. Smelly proof bags are nice, but not totally effective... mason jars REALLY do the trick, but an nice medium is a prescription bottle, takes care of smell, protection and is easy to carry around..

  3. Oh crap lol i forgot that one. Thanks for contributing though! Also, for our users carying large amounts, there are GIANT pill bottles available lol.

  4. a fair few really good dealers use cryvax machines and they make the bags totally airtight around the weed:D

  5. i just smoke it all before i worry about stank.
haha jk, mason jars are the way to go!

  6. last strain i bought was northern lights, have had no problems with it in terms of smell, a ziplock bag does the trick, but also it doesnt have that distinct weed smell, its more like pine wood if that makes sense

  7. SO MANY VIEWS, SO LITTLE POSTS

FUCK THAT IM LEAVING MY MARK HERE

    *poops and leaves

    :bolt:

  8. Okay, you're definitely going to have the best luck with the mason jar out of all of the above methods and here's why.
    1) Mason jar's are made of glass, which means 2 things, air tight, and breakable, if it breaks...you know it. (I'll explain this more thoroughly in reason #2)
    2) Plastic bags are exactly that, plastic, which means one thing, if it tears and you don't notice, it's going to STAAAAAAAANNNKKKK! (Literal hypathetical situation) Let's say you have your bud in your little smell proof baggy and you're kind of in a hurry to leave your house so you throw your bud in a backpack or something and throw the backpack in the closet and leave. Hours later you come back to find that the bag was torn when you put it in the backpack and now your entire house smells like guess what...mary jane.
    3) Dry cleaner sheets completely ruin the smell and taste of weed. If you just take your regular old ziploc baggy (common d-boi selling sac) and wrap a dryer sheet around it and rubber band it tight. You're going to regret it. When you pull that sac back out to enjoy a few hours later...it's going to taste like you're smoking straight Febreze.
    4) Freezer bags are good too due to their thickness, but you must remember that even though it is a freezer bag, putting it in the freezer does absolutely nothing when it comes to conserving your bud. In some cases, I've liked to think that putting my bud in a freezer has made it loose its luster faster. But who knows for fact.
In any sense, mason jars are the best for storing your bud. They sell them at walmart in varying sizes with different lids and some with designs on them...so go to wally world, pick out your favorite, and be at easy of mind knowing that your bud is safe and sound, and only you know where.

  9. Found a new product that puts smelly proof bags to shame. Check out the Deodorizer Bag. http://www.deodorizerbag.com - Seriously, this works. I had the stinkiest medicine and this got rid of the smell. And its not a one time thing. I've had mine for over a month and it still hides all the smells

  10. I called Deodorizer Bag distributor and the best, best, best thing is a Deodorizer Bag in a Pelican Case.... Period... No breaking or cracking, No smell....

There was s show in Vegas recently and it was put to the test...

  11. There is a product that is superior to the Deoderizer Bag, called the Gonzo Bag. They both use activated charcoal/carbon to absorb and trap odors; however the Gonzo Bag uses a sandwich design with the sheets of carbon "sandwiched" between two bags of plastic. This design is significant because activated charcoal/carbon is constantly absorbing and will become saturated if exposed to air (as it is in the Deoderizer Bag). This means that the Deoderizer Bag will become saturated much quicker because the carbon is exposed to contaminants in the air. So Gonzo Bags last much longer and are much cheaper as well. I've used both products many times and found this to be true through personal experience

  12. If a prescription bottle covers the smell of your weed, then you aren't smoking dank.

  13. A pet skunk works wonders, but you won't be very popular.

  14. Dogs can smell it, though.

  15. I've always used a snap lock container, come in all different sizes, absoulutly no smell.

  16. I'm not a mason, but I prefer the mason jars. Plus they look good all stacked up in my closet... B)

  17. Go buy an air tight thermos for carrying soup in, they are like 3 dollars.

  18. Me too. I love hinged lids with good seals. I use cheap stainless steel 5" diameter ones with hinged, snap lock lids and teflon seals. I velcro into each lid three or four 62%, 8 gram Bovida packs. The 5" diameter accommodates the Bovida packs. This turns the containers into humidors that keeps weed fresh and danky for months. [I use the same setup for curing.]

Bovidas packs are about $1.25 ea. The larger two [tall] containers hold about 1.5 to 2 oz .each. I got those two for $7 each at a store that sells all kindsa shit including kitchenware stuff. The smaller one was around half that. The other one in the pic is an 8" C-vault - too expensive ($25).

I use the ceramic one for just keeping small quantities for everyday use. I also have a Diet Coke stash that I stick a snack baggie with an eighth or so for travel.
