haha I'm glad you're always willing to help out those who go hydro chimera. I almost sent you a PM last night, but I figured I'd wait till you offered first. I know the space isn't that big, but I'm going for more of a sea of green this time. I planted 10 seeds and left 2 of the net pots empty so I have easy access to take my reading every day. Also this is the first time I am not using feminized seeds, so I figure half the seeds will be boys, and that will free up a little space for the rest of them later down the line. this is the bucket that came up with my cabinet when I bought it (i know, i know) but it was set up for a drip system. I didn't want a drip system so I tore out the drippers, and got a couple pumps, and some airstones and voila. I do like that the bucket is short though, because those of you that have seen my flowering cabinet know it's not that tall, so with this setup hopefully I'll have 5 or 6 -3ft tall lants when I'm done. That's it for now, but thanks for the responses guys, and I'll put up pics when there is some progress.
Maybe I should change my name to Hydroman, Nah.
So how long are you planning to veg? And are you going 24/0 lighting. Also, what is your TDS level, should be around 150 with a pH of 5.5, above 6.0 and you have nute lockout and below 5.0 then all kinds of bad shit starts to happen.

PS.....I was planning on going 24/0 for veg, just because that is what I'm used to doing. I could back it down to 18/6 though....what do you think?
No, its great at 24/0, Thats the light schedule I use. Adjusting the rockwool must be done before the root hits the net pot or it shouldn't be done, in which case use any thing to cover the rockwool so that lt keeps the light off the rockwool.
By the way I like my ID its just too bad there has to be a seedbank with the same name.

nice growing fatbob. this is going to be sweet. I'll take a stab at this, I know chimera will come along to correct me if I'm wrong. your plants are using a little more water than nutrients at this point thus raising your ppm count. to my understanding this is how you determine what your ppm should be. if ppm rises in a day then adjust solution to lower ppm, if it goes down adjust nute solution a little stronger.
Hell yes I correct you if your wrong! Joes right!!!!!!!!!!!!!
+reps, dogone it, I should be able to give more rep, but it says I need to spread it around catch you later after I find some other deserving post.

Thanks for the responses joe and chimera. I thought my ppm was rising so I researched it a bit, and learned right what joe said about the plants taking up the water and leaving the nutes. Unfortunately in my case it wasn't so much rising as it was high in the first place cause my meter wasn't calibrated. That's all better now. I have 2 different pH and tds meters now, so I won't have any more problems. pH and tds have been adjusted to the proper levels, and consistently kept, and all of my plants have reacted very well to it. Here's a few pictures.
Pic 1: Roots are out of the baskets and in drinking up their nutes!
Pic 2: Just a shot of all the plants together.....
Pic 3: This is the one that had the rusty spots on it, she (hopefully) is doing much better now.
Pic4: Last but not least, for now, is my mutant. Haha. The one that only had 2 leaves for a while played catch up pretty damn fast. It's new growth is coming in healthy and it's stem (as well as all the other plants) is getting thicker.
Summary: this hydro thing isn't as hard is it's cracked up to be
Keep the comments coming fellas, I appreciate them!!
