Is my weed moldy? Newbie smoker D:

    So I recently purchased some weed from my friend and when I smoked it, it was fine, but now I haven't smoked in maybe a week or so and I'm unsure if my weed has mold or not. I get very paranoid when I read that I could die from smoking weed with mold so I was wondering if you guys could identify if there's mold on my weed. Thanks for reading :D

    That's some nice bud for ur first time that's just the trichomes (mold would be white/black spots in thick clumps not crystally, I've never had moldy weed it's not common) been smoking about ten years.

    That looks smokeable. For future reference though botrytis (bud rot) is brown/black, powdery mildew (PM) is white and will occur on stems first then buds, but is systematic within the plant and can't really be removed, it can only be maintained.

    Edit: as for dying that's a lower end risk. You can get serious lung infections from smoking bad pot though. That has happened to me and it was not from mold... It was from what the grower used to prevent the mold.

    Since mold is bascily a living organism a foken mushroom you coul try talking to it and if it reponds its definetly a mold ass mushroom.
