Veggie ?s

  1. Hey guys and gals I'm, unfortunately, having to take a break for God knows how long from growing my babies so in the between time I figure I may as well grow some veggies indoors since winter is upon us.

I have my 4x4 tent with 480w of LEDs and I'll be growing kale and spinach. My question is if I have 10 plants of kale and 10 of spinach will that be enough to get maybe a pound from each plant per day?

I juice my fruits and vegetables for drinks and usually use up to 2 pounds of kale and 2 pounds of spinach per day. But that's when I juice alot lol. I do it to help stay healthy on the inside and it tastes good in my opinion. And I can compost the left overs.

So about how much should I look for production with 10 plants of each?

    Thanks!

  2. I'm not sure as I havnt ever grown kale or spinach but make a jurno and I'll sub up for sure. I've been thinking of setting up my 1000w to get all my veggies ready for spring.

  3. your yield estimate is very, very high. soil or hydro? for soil...you can probably get 1sf per kale plant and create some manner of shallow, wide bed tray for spinach. high density spinach, grow to baby (21-30days). . . might yield 1lb+ on a 4x4' bed? Outdoors i would expect 50lbs of spinach out of 750 square feet.
