Coconut powder

  1. I have read that coconut water will provide similar enzymes as an SST. I have also read that coconut powder is even better.

So I am looking at GNC and I see they have this stuff called Quest coconut OIL powder.....is this what I am looking for?

  2. I'm not familiar with that product. But many alternatives can be found at grocery stores and health food stores. No so much a health supplement store.

  3. I guess i will just get some coconut water from the store to use. Im wondering if using aloe is redundant with coconut water

  4. Redundant? Perhaps a little. But I like them both. For separate reasons.

  5. it's not redundant. And if you're buying coconut water from a grocery store make sure you get the right kind. You don't want anything in a tetra pack sitting on a shelf. Those have been processed using heat which kills most of the beneficial stuff in it. The best stuff will be found in the refrigerated section. There's only a few brands out there. I use harmless harvest. Trader Joe's has their own brand that is pressure pasteurized. Coot has been recommending the Kirkland brand at Costco lately.

  7. Im not so sure powder is better after reading. I went and used Trader Joes coconut water and am thinking about grabbing a gallon of the aloe Vera juice they have there

  8. That's the same powder I use scoob. Good stuff.

  9. its kinda pricy though, i actually find it cheaper to buy fresh thai coconuts. i can get them for like 3$ each and most contain between 1.5 and 2 cups, i just had one earlier it filled a half liter glass almost full! you cant compare the flavor either, if you like to drink them.

  10. I only use them for hydration once in a while before endurance events. But taste is gross. Lol

  11. Freeze dried coconut powder is what you want.

  12. Is that only because of the shelf life of coconut water? Or is the powder actually better?

  13. I think they're comparable. Do what's best for you. I like the convenience and shelf life. And I'm reconstituting my aloe powder anyway. So it's really your preference.

  14. They both work, but yes the powder form just lasts longer.

  15. This is the brand of Aloe Vera juice that I occasionally pick up from a health food store (45 mins away). "Lily of the Desert".

And yes, freeze dried coconut water is what you want unless you can get the green coconuts like Scooby does.
