Broke your piece? Fix it with..

  1. Don't trash it quite yet!

I've found that Gorilla Glue brand epoxy works excellent for fixing broken glass, so long as it is far enough away from heat. My oil rig tipped over yesterday, and the neck broke off the base. 1 clean break. It would work if you held the neck back in place, but obviously wouldn't stay put.

So I fixed it up with some Gorilla Glue brand epoxy, and let it sit overnight. Bond is VERY strong. It's water resistant, heat resistant to 180 Fahrenheit, and solvent resistant, so you can still ISO wash to clean. I can hold the whole rig by the neck and the bond doesn't budge. Good stuff, and it dries clear, so it's not super noticeable.

I used a lot more than needed, and didn't try to make it pretty at all, and it's still not that bad looking.

Actually forgot that it ever broke several times now, and have picked it up from the neck and passed it like that and everything.

Holding strong! Just kind of wish I would have made it look cleaner lol. I didn't really think it was gonna work so well, so I globbed it on. I probably could of made it nearly invisible if I had took my time.

  3. Couple more pics.

I ended up buying a cheap 24 dollar bubbler rig that I used while I waited for the epoxy set for 24 hours. I bought a new bowl piece and have just been smoking flower out of the fixed rig.
