  1. This is what I got now for I'm broke lol. But I have the will to do this any and all knowledge will be much appericiated[IMG][IMG]. Here is some pics of my set up (first one). I have 3fans an 2 100watt equivalant cfls.
The seeds were from some garbage bud I got on the streets, so I'm not sure what it really is. But I'm thinkin it is Og kush by what I have read an the traits that it has. Plz help I'm on 38days flowering
I never used nutes just regular soil and lake water

  2. It looks fine. I wouldn't bother investing in nutes for this kind of grow, but if you have access to a general purpose liquid feed (not mircalegro), or some liquid tomato feed, then using that once or maybe twice would be a boost. Because it is so small, only one bud really, and the pot is relatively large, it should survive without anything extra even if it looks a bit ropey towards the end.
You can also try to keep it perky with a teaspoon of epsom salts dissolved in some water (you'll need to use a little warm water first to get it to dissolve). Once or twice.

Those fan leaves on the long stalks will fade during flowering anyway, so don't worry too much about those. It wasn't a good idea to trim all those other leaves though. Leaves are how the plant eats.

More light is always better. Your 100w equivalent bulbs are probably 23w? You could get a couple of 32w bulbs if you see them in a store, or add one extra bulb. Even one extra bulb in your setup right now is a 50% increase.

You can see from the pictures that those solver panels in your box just look grey. Silver foil isn't very good for this job, if you had white walls it would actually be better.

  3. Awesome thank you for advice I'll try some new things. Like I said this is my first grow an I have very limited knowledge of growing

  4. Hey....it's a start. We all had to start somewhere so do the best you can with what you've got. Your plant is no larger than it is because you have no more light on it than you do. You can buy CFLs that will work at Home Depot and you definitely need some more in there around that plant. Also, make darn sure your water (even though you're using lake water) is properly pH adjusted (6.3 to 6.7 for soil grows), that you only water when the container is at LEAST 80% dry and feed that sucker. Tap water is perfectly fine to use as long as you adjust the pH of it before giving it. Treatment plants don't use chlorine anymore...switched to chloramine and it doesn't evaporate nor is there enough in tap water to negatively affect your plants. I've been using it for years.
You've got it growing in that tiny little pot so I know it's had time to use up the nutrients originally in the soil. Once it depletes those, it's up to you to repot into better soil or feed it. The soil you're using isn't that great either. These things need light and arid soil for ease of root growth. You could help yourself out a lot by adding a nice bunch of perlite in with the soil and repotting into some fresh. Next time, try to grow in some formulated grow soil or find an organic mix recipe that you can build yourself, but there is specific stuff in grow soil made especially for the plant. If you're only growing a plant or two at a time, it's not too much of an expense. My average soil bill per run is around $400...and I had spending that money on dirt, but after I saw the difference it made in my plants I couldn't complain too much. LOL
Get on the new grower threads here and read till your eyes bleed. You need a good understanding of the basics of growing these plants so they stay healthy and thrive all the way through their lives. It's not rocket science, but until you put it all together, you won't get the best yields from your plants. The pH is a biggie though. Not managing it and having it out of range will lock up the roots of your plant and it can't take in any nutrition....thus a weak and sickly plant that doesn't yield much. Even though you don't see them, the roots are the most important part of this plant. They need to be strong and healthy all the way through. Just keep that in mind.

  5. Hey I'm here willing !!!!! Soon as I get some extra cash I will invest it bak into. As for now this is my way of getting cash for proper materials.
    Plz keep shcooling me

  7. I'd say you got about 3 or 4 weeks to go, you need more light, your box looks pretty good, what direction is the fan at the bottom blowing?

  8. lol this is interesting gonna be one of the smallest yields I've ever seen

  9. but it is a yield, the good thing is the only way to go is up, my first grow 4.5 years ago I got almost 6 ounces of one plant, I haven't topped that plant yet, came close but didn't top it.

  10. op, don't go by equivalent wattage with cfl's, go by actual watts, right now you have 46 watts and that's way to low, I would use at least 4-23 watt when the plants small and then add more as your plant grows, use as many watts that temps allow then you'll start seeing bigger plants/buds.

  11. my first grow was in a small box like that. When I got two photo studio CFLs I finally had enough light but way too much heat. You'll likely need to add another fan to help cool it down. One suggestion is use snake extender light socket and move the lights to be within about two inches of the plant. The biggest factors that you should worry about is more light and the heat associated with it. At least double your wattage. Using a power strip and electric to light socket converters that are super cheap is a fast way to get $20 of light at Walmart or similar super store.
