What do you think about Bernie Sanders?

  1. Whats up blades,

I've been watching some interviews on youtube with Bernie Sanders. I'm liking what he has to say about legalizing. From what I understand he pretty much wants to leave it to the states which I think is probably the way to go. But I also wonder if he would really fight to put those policies in place if he got into office.

What do you guys think? Does he really want to fight for legalization? Do you think it's best to leave it up to the states to decide?

Tell us what you think 😁

  2. He's a meek socialist.

  3. I've looked at his voting record and can pretty much agree with most of it. He as been fighting for the people his entire career and I'm glad someone like him is an option.

The only candidates I would consider voting fr are him and rand Paul but he doesn't have enough support sadly. The American people are showing how stupid we really are when trump and Carson are in the lead. It's sad to see that the people with the least experience saying the most ignorant things have the most support.

Hopefully Bernie can beat out Hillary but it's gonna be tough. He is at a disadvantage with even using the word socialist at all the people are too stupid to take a couple minutes to look into the policies.

If by some miracle he gets in I see a similar situation to what Obama has experienced with republicans blocking any progress for the people because of party interests. He is white though so it might be easier. I see no reason why we shouldn't look at what has worked for some other countries rather than continue the ignorant thought that America is the best at everything.

Here's to hoping we can continue some sort of progress and not get held back by war mongering republicans who deny science and don't support freedom of religion.

  4. I think legalizing marijuana should be the least of our worries in terms of the next President.

  5. I like smokin' weed as much as the next guy but I would never vote for a person just because they want to legalize it. We have much bigger problems than that.

Bernie sanders is basically our modern day Abraham Lincoln. Now Lincoln was still racist, but he was a good politician and he knew what he had to do and he did it because it was right (but he was still a racist). The middle and lower class are corporate slaves, bernie is the only candidate that will actually emancipate us from the citizens united ruling, and he might even bring up the money speech bullshit that McCutcheon v the FEC rammed up our asses to make it legal for rich people to buy off and bribe politicains. Hillary is paid for just like the rest, she is so fake.

Do I think Bernie is perfect? no. Do I think he will accomplish everything he is talking about? no. Do I think he is the reason that the other candidates have chosen to vocalize opposition to citizens united? Yes. Hillary didn't say shit about it before she had to in order to compete with The Bern. Do I think that he is the only reason that we have any chance of empowering people that have the vision necessary to lead us out of the terrible materialistic domination based economic system that treats humans as machines and prioritizes profit and monoculture over health and balance and diversity. That understands the cyclical nature of Nature and does not project and impose linear and finite thinking to cyclical processes. Maybe, but probabaly not.

As a species we will all die if we continue to act in ways that are suicidal, sociopathic and unnatural if we do not begin to understand the domination based ontology that underpins our very ways of conversing with one another to the actions we take and start developing a NEW language, a new way of understanding that embraces cooperation and compassion and acceptance. That does not seek to label everything but understands that everything is not simply limited to the name we give it. A tree does not know itself as a tree, things serve purposes in nature which we as humans cannot comprehend. Nature is epiphanic, the source of all inspiration. when we kill nature and eachother, when we lose species and cultures, we lose ways of knowing and understanding. Some may say a tree does not know anything. This is a result of deeply engrained beliefs in our society about the nature of consciousness that took root in the late 1700's with Descartes "discourse on the method". While this is great for Math and science it has been applied to economics, culture and human society with disasterous results.

Bernie is the only candidate who has any part of his soul left. He will not do much, and we will all hate him when he is done just like Obama dissapointed, but my two cents is, I never heard any candidate come right out and say that America worships money, that it is an illness, I never heard any politician talk like that before and I believe until we have leaders that will sacrifice their own privilege in order to better the common situation (stop taking bribes and making corperate rights=human rights) we will continue to see an widening of the rift between the haves and have nots and an escalation of violence around the world. Mostly I just stay at home and garden, and wrote poetry and try to let the people around me know I love them. I wish healing and abundance upon everyone. Time is a garment we choose to wear. Money aint nothin but dead tree's with human faces. I'd rather get naked and plant some seeds.

As far as legalization, in my opinion that aint gonna happen until there is huge finance reform or big big pro cannabis lobby to buy enough politicians. Fed legalization in my opinion will kill the soul of cannabis culture and pimp it off to the highest bidders who care only about $$$.

  7. I have no doubt Bernie is probably a pretty good guy and I like his views on legalization and wish that some of the other candidates would catch on to the realization that there are a lot of us smokers and growers out here who are of legal age to vote, keep up with the issues and do. Your best shot at it is with a democratic candidate/president because their views are so much more liberal than the "pretenders"...better known as republicans. I don't consider myself a member of either the democratic or republican parties because both have thoroughly embarrassed me over the past 3 elections and terms. Sadly, considering all the awful stuff going on world wide right now, I'm afraid that whoever does go into office, be it democrat or republican, legalization will be way down on their list of priorities. And as much as I really like Bernie's ideas on many things, I know that realistically, there is absolutely no way our country can afford to do this stuff. He's a proud socialist. The goal of the socialist is for government to take care of everybody and maintain total control of this country. I don't know about you, but I don't trust "government" and want them controlling as LITTLE of my life as I can possibly make happen. I wish it were legal nation wide...and it should be. We could just about solve the debt crisis along with a myriad of other issues we have due to lack of money in this country if people would just get on the boat and realize that this stuff is not the "devil weed" that they've been brainwashed to believe since the 50's and 60's. But as far as who we need as a president in this country right now, I think only a fool would say that we need to base this choice off his or her stance on MJ legalization. We need someone who has the balls to stand up and lead the US again so we can reclaim our place at the top of the mountain instead of what this fool we've had for 8 years now has done for us. The US is nothing more than a joke in the world view these days and since we're one of the few nations out there who has any sense about keeping and maintaining peace, that's just a bit scary. We need a leader today instead of someone who's total focus is on global warming and crap like that. I imagine a man sitting at the table with a hungry family and nothing to feed them cares a little bit more about having a job and taking care of his children than he does about how clean the air is he's breathing at the moment. I don't know who our next president will be, but he or she would have to be pretty damn bad to come anywhere near close to what this country has had at the helm for the last 8 years. I don't really have a clue who I'm going to vote for this time. There seems to be a choice for everyone with this varied group between both the parties. My hope is that whoever does go in office will have the good of the American people as his or her first priority and try to make decisions based on that instead of how they can advance a cause or fill their back pockets. God help us! TWW

  8. Jesus Christ I don't even know where to start with this. "Some may say a tree does not know anything." Are you voting based on philosophy instead of politics?

  9. I know literally nothing but his stance on weed. Which just like Ron Paul stupid stoners are misquoting him

His ideas and well intended but I have no idea where he thinks he will get the money and I'm not sure if he really understands how economics work.

He reminds me of a kid who discovers weed and wants to save the country

  12. If you vote your apart of the problem... And your vote don't count worth a shit anyways... But hey do you.... Pretend your important and have a say

  13. Thats what happend in Canada, he won and guess what weed is still illegal.

  14. I've liked him for years (I'm a political junkie), but Hillary has my vote. NO one is more qualified. On foreign policy, no question. I'm sure that gun control would not be a priority in a Sanders administration, not that he's against it, but not something he's itching to address, and we need gun control now. Also I just don't see the numbers working for him unless he gets a MASSIVE sudden boost in virtually all areas of the country. His numbers are dismal on minority support, which is mathematically necessary to capture the nomination. Anything could happen though, cuz politics is crazy.

I don't want any flame wars with Bernie supporters like on FB, just stating my semi-objective observations. I like him well enough as a liberal politician and think he's a good and genuine person overall. Also if he did beat Hillary, I would vote for him no doubt, and maybe even go door-to-door for the campaign like I did for Obama's 2nd one in 2012. The main goal is to prevent America from having republican president.

  15. Also, as for pot legalization, "leaving it to the states" is not what we want. Republicans are the ones that favor state's rights over federal (has to do with history, the south resenting the federal gov't, civil war, North destroyed them, you know the story). A true liberal would advocate a federal policy so that it would become legal everywhere. If we leave it to states it won't be that diferent from now. Conservative states would probably never legalize, so we'd have a patchwork of weed policy that was different in each state. It would cause legalization to take much much longer to happen overall, state by state rather than being immediate.

Republicans also want to leave gay rights to the states, because it can be defeated that way.

  16. "Leaving it to the States" is a Constitutional thing.

  17. It's another way the government can track you
Gun control will let the government take over
