  1. so im living in canada and to get 10 lbs of neem and karanja up here from neemresource.com its 52$US for shipping and thats not canadian currency and not including the customs fee im going to have to pay for.. the only neem meal i can find up here is this stuff http://reindeersnatural.ca/neem_meal.htm im just wondering if this stuff will be okay to use? he says its 100% organic but anyone can say that. its not omri certified unfortunately but its the only stuff i can find. thanks in advance:)

  2. They claim that it's imported from India.

If that's truly the case, then I would say it's the real deal...

  3. I thought there was some deal in Canada where THEY don't like/allow neem products to be sold... Or maybe it's just the earl?

  4. certified OMRI? Might want to rethink this when trying to determine if something is of quality. OMRI doesn't mean SHIT. They don't certify anything.

  5. yeah i couldnt get the down the earth because canada doesnt allow importation of it for gardening unfortunatly.
im tyring to learn no till from true living organics and man everything is switched around on meXD i need to drop all my knowledge about other types of gardening

  6. also while i have some people here that know their shit. the people at the feed store say they dont know if their kelp meal s sprayed or treated with anything. should i get the algamin from amazon? expensive. i hate living in the middle of butt f*ck nowhereXD but im getting me and my family on no till so its worth it

  7. I can't imagine kelp meal from a feed store being sprayed or treated with anything. AFAIK, they collect it, dry it, and grind it. No reason to spray or treat it. Alfalfa on the other hand you have to be careful with.

  8. I got my kelp from a feedstore and it works just fine. 55 lb bag for 65 US i think. Algamix is the same, but they charge way more for it. If you are out in the middle of nowhere, then there should hopefully be a feed store within an hour or two drive. Feedstores also tend to have other bulk amendments at good prices. Always find out about how things are processed.

It isn't that you need to rethink everything entirely from TLO there lotus710, but a few things will need some correcting. ;)

OMRI is simply a clearinghouse that attaches their name to products to give them better marketability. It is mostly meaningless designation that's all.

You will be very happy long term with the switch you've made. :D

Much good fortune to you in your gardening.
