Weed Smell Questions

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by jamesrogue8, Nov 24, 2015.

  1. So, I've had about a half ounce of bud in some ziploc bags and a mason jar, that I haven't taken out in about two months. Needless to say, the scent is building up (I opened it up once just for a second and my room was filled with the smell). I need to get it out of the guitar case and into a bag so that I can take it on the bus home with me in a few days. I'm not sure what course of action to take, since I can't have it stinking when I'm on the bus. I figured if I take my guitar case outside, somewhere out of sight, I can air everything out, and get rid of that two month's accumulation of smell. Then I was thinking putting the weed in a new ziploc, double ziploc-bag the jar, and put that all in a coffee container with some coffee beans still in there. Should that be enough to get rid of/hide the smell? This is some really dank, really skunky stuff. Thanks!

  2. As long as the seal on your jar is good then thats all you need. Doesn't hurt to be on the safe side, your plan sounds good to me. Also you should 'burp' your jars every few weeks(open them for a few minutes) to let the gases escape. Tends to keep the flavour of the bud better.

  3. iI've traveled with weed on buses multiple times, only greyhound. Put weed in mason jar, wrap jar with Ziploc bag and stuff some dryer sheets in the Ziploc, zip it up, put mason jar and Ziploc in a knee high sock, add more dryer sheets, stick the bundle in a coat jacket and wrap it up. Throw some random dryer sheets throughout ur luggae. Yes overkill, but still easy
