Hello all, been awhile since ive posted but all has been going well with my Colorado legal medicinal grow. I had been growing inside a 4.5x4.5 closet until recently but through a series of fortunate events find myself with a prime 12ftx 12ftx 8ftceiling grow room in which i am able to start using for myself and my partners medical plants. We both have the paperwork for 24 plants through Colorados MMJ system, although we will be staying short of that per run based on room restrictions/ equipment. We are currently vegging 24 Clones(all fully rooted in 1 gal pots of vermifire, 8-14 inches tall) inside a 4ftx 8ft grow tent under 600w of Apollo Hort. Metal halide using and adjustable 600w Phantom Hid Ballast. My question is what will i need to maximize the light output in a room of this size, Flowering 24 plants in 5 gal pots in organic soil. The Room is connected to a 20a flip style double breaker(shared by the adjoining bedroom and bathroom) and has a 20a "reset" "test" style outlet in the room as well as two plain 15a outlets. I CURRENTLY have 2 600w adjustable Phantom Ballasts with hoods, and 1 1000w adjustable JD lighting ballast(bought cheap off a buddy never heard of brand). AND 2x 200w Vipar full spectrum LEDs( true wattage around 100w from each panel, 3w diodes) First question is will my 3 hoods and ballasts be enough coverage for this size room if i use the LEDs as side lighting This would equate to roughly 2400w. I have considered ditching the 1k ballast and buying 2x more Phantom digital 600's to have a total of 4 600w hps in the flower room , with the 2 Leds that would put me around 2600w in lighting in the room. What says u blades. Next Question, Can that many ballasts be ran safely spread out between the wall sockets i said the room had above... I use high wattage surge protectors instead of plugging each into the wall, and the surge protectors are all plugged into electronic timers. Thank you for any help anyone can offer. I figure i still have about 3 weeks of veg left so still a bit of time to build this out safely. Will post pics and gve additional info if it helps me get where i need to be
nbody? Should I be looking at more than 4 hps ballasts to cover the area? And can I safely run 4 600w ballast in a room with 3 outlets all hooked into a 20a breaker.all ballast will be plugged into surge protectors
