So this is my second attempt at growing this strain. First attempt is here if anyone is interested (It did not turn out well) http://forum.grasscity.com/sick-plants-problems/13... However this new plant seemed to be thriving up until yesterday when I noticed that the tips of the mid growth were tinted yellow. The problem has since corrected itself somewhat, but now the leaves are cupping upwards slightly. Is this normal or is something going wrong? The plant was much closer before and I noticed no problems. After moving the plant a few more inches away to get the temps down, this started. All details are the same as the previous thread.. I took lots of pictures! The last ones are the most recent. Also, the stem is extremely short. I had to cut the top off of the pot so the leaves didnt curl into it. They are almost touching the ground! There are also small pits on the first pair of true leaves. I am assuming this is from the 0.3% H2O2 I treated the soil and plant with for the first few days, but if it looks like something else to you guys please tell me, I have been using straight spring water room temp for watering.

    Air temps 75-82.
    Humidity 40-50%
Watering only when soil is dry 1/2 inch deep. (every 2 days approx)
100w LED 1000w MH equivalent 6500k. about 10 inches away.
The radiator you see is water cooling for the LED. Heat is exhausted outside of the case. Dual 120mm input fans. The light is extremely bright, around 50,000lux in the box. However due to the water cooling system, I can hold my hand less than an inch from it indefinitely. I don't know if it may be TOO bright..

    Any help appreciated!

  2. Bump, leaves still cupping. :(

  3. Plant looks good to me. Personally use solo cups next time. The roots (if you let get close or bound) will stick a ton more to styrofoam as opposed to smooth plastic

  4. Alright thanks! The new growth is looking good, it may have been from a heat spike early on. I will post progress. I only used the foam cup for insulation to keep the roots warmer, and if theres a root sticking problem i can just rip the cup ;)

Do you think this pot is big enough? I don't plan on getting this thing huge, maybe a couple more weeks of flower. The grow box is pretty small. Will a pot of that size severely limit bud production?

  5. Okay so the leaf cupping is getting more extreme. Now the bottom leaves are starting to get crispy looking and are turning slightly yellow. the new top growth appears to have burns, as well as purple on the serrations.. She was growing great over the weekend but now growth seems to have stopped!

    She's crying out for help!!

  6. Repot those to bigger containers. Take a pic of root ball when you do, im betting they are starving for new room and may be or close to rootbound

  7. I do definitely need to re-pot. I haven't had time yet, I need to build a larger grow box and then I will have room. I'll put up pics of the roots in a few days when I get the things together.

She is looking somewhat better. I gave her some organic nitrogen ferts, and she perked right up! Also, I trimmed off the bottom two leaves that were yellow. Top growth is looking very good, however there still appears to be some nute burn.. I'm using organic seed starter soil, what kind of soil should I use to re-pot in if I am suffering nute burn now? Just some inert material?

  8. No need to chop leaves. They will naturally fall off when do. Cutting only adds uneeded stress, even if its just a tad. Im using fox farm happy frog and perlite 50:50 and love it. Search here for some soil mixes that work, HF isnt cheap but worth it imo. It also feeds plants for about a month w no need to addany additional nutes really.

  9. Too hot and looks a little over nutes when there that small it can handle heat if the humidity is up but them are my two cents

  10. And yes those cups suck they need to breath i have had this issue my first grow years ago if its over fed flush them and back that light off til they start to come up to it id switch to a three gallon pot after they start to make a comeback

  11. Gotcha. Wont cut any more!
The humidity has been running 30-50% so not ideal I guess..
I didn't notice until trying to re-pot but the root tips were actually growing out of the bottom of the cup and drying up! this may be the root (kek) of my problems here..

This is the dirt I am using by the way, what do you think of it?

    http://www.espoma.com/product/organic-seed-starter...
"Contains:Sphagnum peat moss, peat humus, perlite, and is enhanced with Myco-tone, a blend of mycorrhizae that helps to promote root growth, increase nutrient and water uptake, and grow larger plants with more abundant blooms."

Got some new pics for you of the root ball and the new setup. Hopefully things will improve!

  12. Im not sure i have never used it i use pro mix or i make my own i dont trust other stuff ive never used it might be good though when it comes to feeding and giving nutes i like to be the one doing it cause i know what im puting into it just repot them and i swear by kelp powder saved so many of my plants

  14. Thats actually not as bad as I thought it would be, didnt realize cup was so tall. A repot will deff help her stretch those legs and search and suck up water and food. If you want a greatcheap nute kit look into general hydroponics grow micro bloom. For the price it cant be beat, keep in mind a ph and ppm tester will be needed to get the most out of thr plantsand to fix or prevent future issues. All 3 items can prob be bought for $80ish off amazon.

  15. even though i measure my nutes exactly by the book ppm meter is gold

  16. Yes sir they build up also its good to test the drainage also

  17. here's a little soil mix that I have enjoyed for years, give it a go.
Base is 50/50 sSphagnum peat and perlite
Worm castings, bat guano, blood meal, lime
It's kinda like super soil mix but I don't let it cook, just mix the shit out of it an let it rock
