Sizing For An A/C

  1. I have an 8000btu window a/c already but it's scheduled for some repairs. My room is 9x12 with a slanted roof 13ft at the higest point. I'll be running 4 Mars 2 700w. My question is, is 8000btu enough??
I should add that I'll be using co2. Ambient temps with 1 Mars 2 700w is 86 while I want temps to range from 81-84 also,I will be attempting a sealed room.

  2. If your only at 86 degrees with one is guess around 90 with two, and the ac should have no problem cooling it down just a few degrees

  3. well as i said i have 4 lights with only 1 in use until bloom i figure even with low 90s ambient temps it should work i'm just checking in somewhere where i should be able to get a useful answer so thnx for your response

  4. Oh yea sorry I read that wrong, I would expect that 8000 btu would enough be enough for that but just really not sure how much heat these guys put off. I'd set it all up and see because these kinds of things can really very depending on the climate where you live and the seasons and all that

  5. 86 is no big deal trust me. 12,000btu is good for 400square feet residential, 450sq/ft commercial
if you have a 8,000 btu window shaker, its good to cool down over 250sq/ft to a little under 300sq/ft by standards
that shaker should do well for maintaining your space provided its in good condition.
make sure the outdoor coil is clean and not plugged up with dust and debris, it needs to breath.
