please help this is my first grow and I thought I was doing ok for a first timer until the other day I left my pump off in my setup for like 14 hrs by accident and now 2 days later I have brown spots on my plants and I don't want to have any more problems. They did start to wilt due to lack of water but start to perk up again and now I have these brown spots on the leaves. Ph is roughly 6.1 right now and I change the nute/res water every 7 days. My ppms are about 550 due to another problem I had when I first start and that was giving them nutes to soon. I also noticed my roots are discolored but i was wondering if thats staining from the nutrients i use which is the general hydroponics line with aquashield. I am learning and all friendly advice is appreciated and accepted. Thanks in advance oldskool.
Your ppms are twice what they should be at this stage of growth Also, put your pump on a DEEP CYCLE timer - no more than 15 seconds every 10-15 minutes.
thank you guys for responding I appreciate any and all advice. And PEFLORA I do have them on a deep cycle timer I had them at 60 sec. On and 20 mins off just switched to 30 sec. On and 15 mins off being as tho 30 seconds is the lowest the timer will go. Do you think they can live with that? And what do you think the ppms should be at this stage?
so my plants have gotten bigger in vigor and growth but they are still getting brown spots on the leaves and some bronzing on some leaves I can't figure it out I lowered the ppms and flushed the system multiple times with floraKleen and I use hydrogaurd I have tons of new white roots growing no slimey bad roots just some staining from the nutes yet I can't seem to understand why this is happening. Now I notice it is much more noticible on 1 of the 3 plants more then the other two. I feel I am doing everything right I change res water every 7 days, only thing I wonder is if the amount of each nute I'm using is wrong I use 6 tsp's of GH flora grow and 6 tsp's of GH flora micro. And I stay on top of my ph a lot more since when I started only thing I can think of is I use tap water. Should I be distilling it in like a garbage can first? I'm all out of money for my setup and my wife complains I spend to much time "in the basement" someone with knowledge please help me ...
