Does anyone use metal pipes?

Discussion in 'Smoking Pipes, Glass Spoon Pipes' started by dmomoko, Nov 19, 2015.

  1. Is there any reason to not use metal? I am looking for a new piece, and I have seen a couple of really crazy looking metal pipes in my neighborhood shops. Anyone have excpierence with them?

  2. Hard to say what sort of toxic shit may come out of the metal when heated...as I'm sure it was probably made in China...I'd stay with a glass piece.

  3. Ah, that has me a bit worried. Yeah I agree, I dont have to worry about glass. Dammit... why do they looks so awesome??

  4. They are probably fine, but glass is the way to go.

  5. Whenever I'm in Amsterdam, I use metal pipes.
They're durable, easy to transport loaded,
and I don't mind throwing them away before I leave.

As long as they're not made of Galvanized steel
or copper, you should be okay.
No store wants to poison their customers.
    It's bad for business.

  6. I use metal pipes exclusively. The only problem I have is the bowl can get extremely hot during use. Otherwise they're awesome. I find I use a LOT less bud.

  7. People tend to use those for smoking things other than pot, atleast in my area.
    Stick wit the glass bro

  8. I used to use them and also corn cob pipes, until a friend showed me the awesomeness of glass pipes. Metal pipes can leave a nasty taste in your mouth and also I swear they give me a sore throat.

  9. i had a one hitter, looked like a cigarette was good idk what happend to it honestly

  10. Well, it seems like metal is not the appropriate thing to be used in cigar, as it get warm and hurt also. So, before trying just check what is it actually. Also you can try this out.

  11. I was a CNC machinist back in the day. We used brass, aluminum, steal and occasionally more exotic metals. Most of them we bat style one hitters and bowls / stem kits that could be set into wood. I never made one like that though. I just made sneak a tokes.

  12. I'd say the heated metal would release some toxins. Go with glass as the moderator said

  13. I use a one hitter a lot, it's metal.
I neither love it, nor hate it.
It burns my delicate little mouth sometimes, but otherwise, it's just fine 🏽

A fat lot of good my contribution was to this thread, huh?

  14. Proto pipe
100 percent brass (safe to smoke) and is a bowl with a cover, herb container, and poker all inclusive in a compact product. Some of the high quality knock offs have a vaping attachment that can be used for wax or oil

Hey guys, if you're interested in metal pipes I would recommend stainless steel. It is used in food/medical equipment and won't give off any carcinogenic fumes. Stainless is non corrosive and extremely durable.

Check out the SVS - Stainless Vaporizer Smoker

Made of completely of 300 series stainless steel it's an all in 1 pipe that can hold up to 2.5 grams!

Go to www.G2Stainless.com or search SVS on youtube for a video of a truck running it over!

  16. I have one but its only for when i'm traveling then I use it.

  17. I use a metal piece everyday, three times a day.
    They get clogged super easy.

  18. Isn't that a tube that m&m's come in?

  19. Yeap, I found that the m&m's tube fits the pipe perfectly and can hold your cleaning tools, lighter, extra material and pipe all in a compact smell / water tight package. It works great for on the go use, can be personalized with stickers, armored with black electric tape or slid into a piece of a water noodle for floatation
