Hey everyone, thanks for stopping by, I'm going to be making my first ever grow, I just wanted to make this thread as I go along in my adventure. So I've been doing my research over about the past 3 months and only now I've had the opportunity to seize as my friend got one bagseed that he's giving me. I'm going to be working with a blue plastic box you can pick up at a local Walmart that has wheels and stand it up right so it'll be tall. The place I'm going to be working with is in my boiler room to the side of my house which is convenient (no one ever goes there). As I go along I appreciate all comments and advice
I'm going to be posting photos shortly. Today I managed to get the seed from my friend and right when I got home I placed it between two damp toilet paper pieces and put it in a dark container. Hope it'll grow. Today while grocery shopping it was a coincidence that I passed the lighting section and got three 100w 6500 CFLs and 100w 2700 CFLs. Is this good enough for one plant??? Need some input.
if that is actually wattage and not equivalent otherwise your looking at roughly 75watts and that won't be nearly enough... If I remember correctly bare minimum is 75watts per square foot
You can search the Internet and find some fairly cheap cfl setups that would be perfect for your grow box.
So today my little seed has finally grown a white tip and I got some plant mix and put it in a small red solo cup, dug it one inch deep and placed it carefully tip down, I was so excited to see it finally germinate after 3 days
I've grown with a lot of CFLs they do great no matter what people say. Its stretching quite a bit, How far away are the lights? Also no there isn't gonna be a noticeable height difference between indica & sativa at this stage
