Heat problem

  1. Hi all, I have a issue with the heat in my tent, it's been set up today and the temp is sitting around 29• which is to hot.

    Firstly I have a 2.4 x 1.2 x2 tent I have two lights both running 400watt each.

    Both are air cooled hoods.

I have the rhino filter which is the 150mm by 300mm with a rvk 150mm L1 extraction.

I have the filter then fan then it goes into lights and out window.

    I have two oscillating fans.

There is a rvk 150mm bringing in air from outside.

Any help welcome thanks in advance.

  2. 2 lights plus a filter is too much for one fan, you need a second one so you can run your filter separately.

  3. That tent is really only big enough for one light to grow 1 or 2 plants so I don't understand why you're putting 2 lights in there. You'll have to get more and/or bigger fans to get it out or it'll melt your plants. TWW

  4. its a 4 foot by 8 foot tent, you sure it's only for one light :/ everyone else I've seen have two lights.
bi actually have a spare rvk so should I do one just for lights and another just for carbon filter? Thanks for the advice

  5. not sure if the dimensions are clear but it's 2.4 meters wide
1.2 depth and 2mentee tall thanks for the reply

  6. Exactly.

  7. lovely. I'll set that up tonight or tomorrow. I spoke to a friend who advices either the same thing or maybe a 8inch rvk with a 600mm rhino as I'm not getting a meta give pressure in the tent. Thanks for replying.

  8. .set it up on its own fan and the temps dropped dramatically :) I've now got the ducting sat in the room to keep temps about 24 all good now

  9. I got a bit of a issue put the two pieces of ducting out the window through a y peice and the temp had gone up and it's now in a positive pressure any ideas?

  10. How much m3/per hour is your ventilation? In your size tent you need to refresh your air 5 times every minute then you won't even have to use air cooled hoods

  11. Well I have the rvk 150 L1 which is 720m3/hr exhaust and a 150 for intake which is around 400m3/hr.

I'm not sure sure what's going on as my temps are now at about 21* I'm pretty sure it's just how I set up my ducting, as now I've got the light and exhaust going outside and intake just near a open window as before I had the exhaust and lights going out through a y piece and there was a curtain in the way and intake in through the other flange. So I'm guessing the curtain was preventing it getting rid on the hot air as fast and was building up in the room. Any ideas let me know

  12. Ok if your temps stay like this then there's no problem

  13. i just hope they stay like it, only problem is the tent is in a positive pressure.

  14. That's no problem my tent has the same issue it gets sucked tight

  15. Oh I got told it should be in a negative pressure so the tent gets sucked in as to much air in the tent will let smell escape

  16. Sorry I understood you wrong yes you need negative pressure if it
Was me growing in your space I would have at least 1200m3/hour vent
    Without air hoods
    2x 600 hps

  17. why without air hoods? I've just brought them so I now may sound stupid I'm guna use them now lol

So I should upgrade my filter and fan

  18. I meant the temps would stay low even without air hoods and with heavier lighting. If the air in your grow room gets refreshed 3-5 times a minute you wont get high temps so in your case it's 2.4x1.2x2 that times 3-5 and and then times 60 and you'll have the ideal m3/hour for your grow room/tent

  19. I'm Dutch my english can be bad sometimes

  20. No worries thanks for the help! :)
