Outdoor activities in northwest Georgia

  1. My fiancee and I recently moved to Georgia from Wisconsin. So far, I love everything except the people that seem to have forgotten all the rules of the road, which seems to be about 70% of the population, but I digress, does anyone know any cool places to go hiking or spend some time outdoors? Close to the Amnicalola falls area preferably.

  2. check out tullulah gorge, its like a mini grand canyon that has trails around it.

You could go to Hellen is a little tourist town where everything is german themed, lpots of candy and beer. In the summer, you can go tubing down the river, thats real fun. Brasstown bald is near there, its the highest point in the state. You can walk up there or take the bus.

I went on a field trip to anna ruby falls back in the day, it was a fairly short hike to a nice water fall. Then we went to delonagah and got to tour one of the old gold mines. Delonegah has a bunch of gold mine themed tourist crap.

Theres a bunch of outdoors type stuff up there in the mountains, just look for some parks on the map.
