Hey I was just curious when I heat my nail for a while before my dab a ton of smoke starts coming out the nail and I always hit it, usually tastes like wax. Am I just inhaling butane or the wax that wasn't heated up before? I believe it's the second option but I'd love to hear someone's opinion. Does this mean I'm just not dabbing right?
You heating the nail correctly? I don't ever have a smoky nail from just hitting the torch to it. Here's what I do.... Hit the torch to the side of my Ti nail until it gets orange. Just the side of it where the flame is touching. Then I count to ten seconds and hit it. Just like that. In that time the nail isn't orange or any color for that matter Any more. I use a monster work torch that takes all of 15 seconds to heat the nail to what I described above. It might take a lot longer with a tiny piece of shit refillable. As far as I have learned, it's getting the temp to the right place before you hit it. If it goes up in a microsecond, it's to fucking hot. If it smokes all day it is to low. If you hit the torch to the nail and it smokes, it is definately to fucking low. Good luck broski
