Growing and Got caught by the houses owner, what should I do?

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by vboy3374, Nov 10, 2015.

  1. Hey guys, hope you all are doing well
So I had 4 lovely plants in a cupboard which had been left unused for a long time outside of my room. All of them were in early stage (stage after germination) when they were found out by the owner. The owner told me that something is broken next to the cupboard so he came to check it and found them out. He told me that at that time he called the police and they came and took all the plant to investigate (?!). When I got back and saw the cupboard looks strange, i immediately tried to look for the key of the camera room to check who did this but the key is not where it always be and I couldnt find it.
My concern is I'm really not sure if the police came or not, i wasn't around at that time so all I know is from what the owner told me. I really dont think that the police came because if they had came, i would have been arrested not here to create a topic.
Thanks for your time guys and enjoy your day.
P/s: I'm sorry for posting 2 same topics, i'm new to this so i posted to the less popular section in the first time.

sorry I confused you. my question is : Based on what the owner said to me, and the fact that I have not got arrested or searched yet ( the owner told me the police ca,e yesterday night), did the cop really come or the owner just wants to make it up to make me confess something?

Again my apology for those who got confused :(

  5. I wouldn't get too worried about it. You can't believe anything anybody says anymore. I would think that if they came and were going to arrest anyone, it would've already happened. Time to replant! TWW

  6. You should not grow in a residence that does not belong to you. At the very least you should be given a 'wink & nod' from the owner that it's 'all good.'

And if you're gonna be so bold to grow and not inform the owner, you should have cased the place out for at least a year and meticulously gotten to know the landlords habits.

I chose to grow in a landlord's residence w/ out him knowing...but I lived there for 2-3 years before I was like, 'Hey, this guy NEVER comes in my place or even comes close to this room' - so I blew it up w/ a grow tent & plants. Guy had no clue. I moved out and he was happy w/ how nice the carpets were in the grow room (I had a grow tent over them so they was like no wear on the carpets for several years lol).

Anyway, if you're gonna grow in risky situation you better have your shit figured out, or you'll be that guy going to jail for a mediocre grow-op, you never even pulled a harvest from or got off the ground. Failure to plan is planning to fail.

  7. thanks guys for your response.
actually my mate lives there so before I move in, I asked him lots of questions about owner's habit.
Really appreciate your advice @MrThoughtCrime, its so true this happens because i was so dumb lol. but lesson learnt and its not too huge for the first time.
Thanks you guys again and have a stoney day ;)

  8. Cops in my area don't care about small personal grows. People who get charged over a few plants, and take it to trial claiming medical use, have been found not guilty even in non-medical states. When half of the population supports medical use it's pretty hard to find a jury who will convict, regardless of how the law is written. The people have the right to reject laws that they feel are unjust through the practice of jury nullification, according to the Supreme Court.

Different story if there's a list of unrelated charges like domestic violence or some shit, they'll throw everything they've got at you and the jury probably won't like you very much. But I don't think a stand-alone cultivation charge over a few plants is worth their time to pursue.

Your landlord sounds like a dick. Fucking with your tenants is like fucking with the waitress who brings you your food, you're going to regret it. Tenant's rights are pretty strong in some areas, you should check them out and see how long you can drag out an eviction without paying rent. You could potentially stick this guy for thousands of dollars, he sounds like a relatively new landlord who has never dealt with a difficult tenant before. Technically, it's his building and he can tell you not to grow plants there, but if he thinks it's a good idea to turn a good tenant into his worst nightmare by calling the cops on you over a couple of plants then that's his mistake. Should have been dealt with differently. Now it's on motherfucker.
