    Plant Descriptions
    • Swiss Cheese
This Swiss Cheese Automatic will knock you off your feet with her penetrating smell. Not suitable for a discrete grower. She is, however fast flowering, has big internodes and creates tight, bulging buds. Nirvana Seeds took their Jock Horror Automatic (with her Mexican Haze Roots) and a classic Swiss Cheese clone and combined the two to create this amazing autoflowering strain. The Swiss Cheese Automatic provides a powerful cerebral effect that will activate your senses with a soothing physical effect towards the end. The aroma is both pungent and sweet, just like a proper old school Cheese. The taste clearly has that cheese taste too plus a peppery aftertaste.

    • Lemon OG Haze
This 5th generation autoflowering strain comes from an exciting line of genetics with an original Las Vegas Lemon Skunk x OG Kush (AKA the infamous Lemon OG) paired with an original Haze 13 to create the Lemon OG Haze. We crossed the Lemon OG Haze with a AK-48 Automatic mother and created a super tasty Lemon OG Haze automatic. Preferably use an 18 hour light cycle for optimal yields. Because of the strong Sativa genes this strain tends to stretch more than your average autoflower. The raciness of a Haze strain combined with a mild bodystone owing to the Northern Lights automatic genes. The aroma of fresh peeled lemon with a hint of pine will surely tickle your nostrils and tingle your taste buds.

think that is everything for now...let me know what you think, make suggestions, etc...pics of my set up coming soon, along with details of my seed drop..stay tuned and happy growing!

EDIT 11-19-15: changed my sig and thought i would drop the source for it for a laugh; hubby popped it out on me the other night while i was showing off the girls...'you are the Lemon Merchant AND the Keeper of the Cheese!'...lolol

  2. stopping through to make a soil report...

got my soil mixed, filled my pots, soaked them down in prep for dropping in my seeds on Saturday morning...took a soil pH and a ppm slurry test and hit the sweet spot...6.5 pH, 177 ppm...

so i thought i would share my soil recipe, since it turned out so perfect...

1 16qt bag of Epsoma Organic potting mix
1 8qt bag of Epsoma Organic Perlite (used 3/4 of the bag)
2 lbs organic worm castings (Unco Industries Wiggle Worm Soil Builder)

this recipe perfectly filled 2 - 3gal smart pots

  3. seeds were dropped at 12:07 am...gave them a liil nudge around 7am and they sunk to the bottoms of the cups instantly...tonight at midnight they go into peat starters, if i can find them...if not, into their perm. 3 gal homes

my methodology was to use a small Altoids tin lined with sandpaper to gently scuff my seeds, then into straight distilled water to soak in opaque cups with lids on them, sitting on the top of my standing freezer for the warm hum...

  4. could not find peat starters so i made my own with the bottoms of solo cups i ran holes through the bottom of for drainage and set in a small opaque bowl...soaked my peat in aerated distilled water with some aloe vera juice and coconut water in it to help with root development and went ahead and soaked down my pots with some of it too...

seeds had begun to pop in the water i had them soaking in, so i transferred to the peat cups under green light in my grow space so as not to light blast the tender lil shoots peeking out, and they are now sitting under a humidity dome with one of my CFL fixtures beaming on it to keep them warm and welcome them when they come up...

off to bed, pics coming soon!

  5. i am like a hen sitting on my eggs...lol...the wait to see my chicks pop through is making me fidgety!...

no changes, just damp lil peat trays glistening in the glare of the lights...been checking them every few hours for dry out and feeding them a few drops of water carefully with a turkey baster as they need it..

also got a chance to test the temp and humidity in my grow space last night, using my digital weather monitor, which has indoor and outdoor settings...set the outdoor sensor in my space in a couple of different locations and monitored readings for a couple of hours from the living room on my read out panel...my average was low 70s (70-72) temp and 65-68% humidity...so that seems pretty good...

had a humidity cap over them, but i think it was too big and not letting the lights heat the soil well, so popped that off of there and got the lights closer...think i am going to add a small lampshade to the lighting fixture to better concentrate the light and heat to keep that soil nice and warm, maybe a smaller humidity cap i can pop on and off of there as needed...

still need to make a final decision about staking/caging...i have 2 cages ready to go, but they make dropping my lights down where i want them a problem...think i may go over and just buy a piece of untreated pine floor trim at Lowes, cut it down into workable lengths and saw in some notches along the edges for tie off locations and call it a day=$3

my first baby is emerging!...Lemon OG Haze...soaked am and put in peat cups pm 11/6...emerging 4pm 11/8...

i added a small shade and put a much smaller humidity dome on after last post...popped it off and gave her and the dome itself some CO2 therapy via some up close and personal baby talk to welcome her into the world and maybe encourage her step sister to come out and play...gave them a tiny drink of a few drops of clean distilled water...

i have been thinking of names, or trying, but have come up with nothing good for this lil girl that i really like yet, so i am opening it up to y'all...if you have a good name suggestion, drop it on me...i think i am going with Heidi for the Swiss cheese...lol...

baby pictures as soon as she sheds her lil seed hat and has some green to show off, i promise!

i went ahead and removed the lil seed hat with a pair of sterilized tweezers, very gently and carefully, and then just barely tucked the seed casing in the soil next to it enough that it will stay put...sort of a very tiny top dressing, since the seedlings get their nutrients in that first week or so from the seed casing it leaves behind...

say a lil prayer i did not harm my girl, but everything i am reading says seed casings will kill them if you do not get them off asap, won't light let at them...

  8. annnnnd!...its another girl!...whoo-hoo!...

just checked in on them to give them a few drops of water before i crash...Heidi is just barelybarely poking up from the soil...can't see anything but her curled stem just yet

less than 72 hrs from scuffing and soaking to breaking the surface of the soil...i am pleased...

my Lemon girl is standing tall...i expect her to be ready for her debut photo shoot come morning...

and to ice my cupcake of grow happiness, i have also won a contest in a local group i am in..the prize is either 'worm castings, Rapid Root, and Floralisious' or gallon jugs of Jungle Juice...i will be happy with either, tho the Jungle Juice would be especially nice for the ride to go pick up...

all in all a satisfying day!

  9. Hell yea man can't wait to see them grow !

Subd man I was literally just on Nirvanas site looking at these. Possibly gonna run them outdoor guerrilla style next summer depending on what I see here..no pressure or anything haha

Maybe use your soil recipe too. Is that water only? I havent messed with organics yet

  11. here they are...their big debut!...i have decided to name them Lemonhead and Cheesehead, which seems appropriate...lol

  12. and welcome Infiniti and capt!...pull up a beanbag and twist one...provided the grow survives to harvest, this is my primary bragging spot, so i will be posting regularly and questions and comments are always welcome!

capt, to address your post...i am not going full organic here, i plan on using NTFG nutes in conjunction with pure organic feeding techniques like worm and seed teas, double watering, essential oils...i did not have the necessary time before this grow kicked off to cook my own soil, which is a whole big project of its own before you ever plant a seed, and is an essential component of the organic grow...i will be working toward that in the early spring for a future grow...call this one 'organic-friendly'...NFTG is nearly organic, but not quite...there is one offfending product, but otherwise the line is clean and it is recommended that you use it in conjunction with ACTs and LABs and other organic approaches to feeding

that said, the soil i have mixed up here came out just about as perfect as i could have asked with very lil cost and effort, overall, if you are the small gardener...it does not have that fully living soil goodness going on, but it is primed to be conditioned to create those better, living soil conditions and absolutely perfect for starting your babies in...

on water...i used pure distilled to soak my seeds (about 18 hrs)...i made the peat cups, as you can see,,,bottoms of solo cups (have holes burned through the bottoms for drainage/wick up and they wick up beautifully; 2 holes per cup bottom) that i packed with peat moss that i had soaked in the coconut water/aloe vera juice drench:

    1/4 cup Aloe Vera juice
    1/4 cup Coconut water
    1 gal of water

i used distilled to make this, bubbled for a bit to aerate a lil, then soaked the peat and drenched my perm. smart pots as well, to have them ready for the move once the babies have established the first set of true leaves

since then, i have just used pure distilled water and a turkey baster to feed a few drops of water a couple of times a day as needed...

  13. my teensy lil girls just look so perky and happy!...without actually touching them much, just a bit of gentle moving about as i took care of things today...

my soil mix had settled with the couple of drenches i ran through it, so i ordered another small bag of the Epsoma, used the rest of the bag of their perlite that i already had, emptied my pots into a tote and mixed the new stuff in, then refilled my pots...water retains well but not overly so, i like the way it it has drained through these smart pots so far...

pretty moist, but not wet so i went ahead and gave a very light spread of water, in a ring around the center and halfway between center and sides of the pots, maybe a pint...when i move them tonight into the big pots, i will dribble some more right around the base of the seedlings and i think that will be good

cut a couple of tomato cages in half and got them set in there prior to transplant...that was pretty inspired, makes a very nice fit without being overwhelming or getting in the way of the lighting...credit to L.C. in another group for that cool idea that i should have thought of...lol

gave Lemonhead a couple of drops, Cheesy seemed fine, under the dome and lights now, spreading out and sunning themselves until it gets dark here...i will transplant then, under green light to cut down on risk of shock to my girls' tender bits...

---which i have just done...good thing too, and that i installed that green light...those tap roots were running hard and fast across the bottom of those peat cups!...whew...dunno if it is the genetics or that aloe drench or what but they are going like gangbusters...

Day 3...just went in to check on my girls after a restless night worrying about the transplant...12 hrs after transplant, they look happy in their new perm homes...

    Lemonhead
    [IMG]

nothing new to report here except she is still looking fab, has not missed a beat, did not even react to having her seed cap pulled off, except to spread out...her tap root was fairly amazing when i moved her...thick, shiny white...beautiful...looks like she is digging right in and liking it in the big pot

    Cheesy
    [IMG]

was a lil more worried about Cheesy, she is smaller and did not seem to me to be feeling all that well last night when i checked on them before bed after transplanting earlier in the evening...gave her a good thirsty drink and domed her and resisted the urge to keep going in there and checking on them through the night by locking myself out of the room...lol...

but she seems much! better this morning, standing tall, tho she is smaller than the Lemon girl...was later emerging and i think maybe worked a lil harder to make it above ground

but all in all, the transplant looks successful...now the trick is watching that moisture level for them in those big pots....i am continuing to go in a few times a day, check, feed drops as i think they need it...fyi...turkey baster!...a must have piece of equipment!...think i am gonna pick up a couple more to have for various tasks...nute/tea feeding, slurry testing

  15. Not sure on your temps/humidity but I watered my seedlings like every 4-5 days. You might be loving them too much. Letting the soil dry out between watering will encourage the roots to reach out more

  16. yeah now that they have clearly established, i am backing off on the water...i am a lil concerned about those liil curled water leaves on the Cheese...looks like overwatering to me...just letting them go for bit, let things dry out, see how they do...

    thank you!

  17. oh and to answer your question, i have been monitoring....temp 73 humidity 57%...

  18. Congrats pipperz! Happy they sprouted for ya, just stoppin by to check your op out. That Lil cheese baby definitely looking a bit drowned. I've read it's best to let your soil get almost completely dried out before watering the soil will hold more water and newer minerals will be given to you plants . I'm just gonna go back to smoking and reading up on some different threads. Good luck on the grow I know it'll come out great!

  19. hey Mikey!...good to see you...how is your lady doing??

i have been using distilled water, but i am gonna start phasing in my tap from here out now that they have gotten past germ and transplant, so they get a lil of those minerals you are talking about...wanted to keep it clean until they were out of the early day woods

  20. Perfect environment man definately cut back on watering and when you do try towater around the plant so roots will reach out
