Hey everyone! I am about to make hash oil with acetone extraction. I was wondering if i can or need: to boil the extraction with aceton in a rice cooker and add a few drops of water towards the end and then pour the oil , into a stainless steal container and that container on my coffee pad heating until the remaining aceton evaporates. Is it the same as like with isopropyl? Thanks in advance! Hope you guys can help me out so i can start !!
please don't use acetone, I can't personally speak but I've never heard of it. And if no one is doing it, there's probably a reason why.
i did a quick google search and it looks like lots of people have used acetone for their extractions. i don't know enough about it though to do so. my biggest concern would be sourcing pure acetone. last thing you want is contaminated extractions that get people sick. i think thats why people are using other types of washes instead of acetone now a days because of finding a clean source. in this case, i would stick to what i know and work with something like iso alcohol or 'tane for the wash. just because i feel far more comfortable using those then trying something like acetone. i know our bodies produce very small amounts of it naturally {bat shit crazy ya?} but im just not sure exactly how our bodies work with it.
Because acetone leaves a ton of residual chemicals. I used it once in the 90's and the oil came out like a fruit roll up....was gross! I threw it all out.
Hey guys I'm jumping into this late and sort of off topic but I think y'all can help me out. I have an empty regular sized pill bottle (ya know the generic orange kind) that I've been putting all my stems and left overs from rolling blunts, bowls, etc. At this point it's packed full to the brim now with mostly shake in the bottle....What would you guys suggest I do? I was thinking about do a small batch of a oil or something.
