Alright folks, im going to take what little time i have and say that this is my first ever grow. This journal is going to be very well detailed so that I, and others can learn and look back on for advice. For starters i have 3 Dutch Passion auto Blackberry Kush seeds, along with 3 Seedsman Auto Kings Kush from The Vault. I will only be running one of each seed to start with. As far as what my setup will be i have pretty much everything i need to start except nutes. Ebay Items: Ipower 39"x39"x78" ran me $83.99 shipped. Meter to keep humidity an temp under control Circulating fans Now that i have shared everything i have a few questions maybe some more experienced cultivators could give me some insight on. Which nutes to i need to buy from hydroponic store? ive read about to many and its confusing as shit. Do i need to just run straight RO water when i put my seedling into the bubble bucket, or will i add nutes when it first gets put into the bucket? Here is some pictures, Note: i have not germinated seeds yet waiting on everything to show up within the next few days.
Ok I got another question, do I have to start out in rock wool or can I put it straight into hydroton after I germinate it
Got my final products in my hydroton, net pots, and air stones. Will be using Humboldt nutes from another grow buddy. So excited to get these baby's rolling. Will start soaking in the paper towel tonight and hopefully by Friday they will be ready for rock wool.
Hi ing35 looking impressive//static.grscty.com//public/style_emoticons/default/toke.gif Never done hydro DWC but keen to follow , good luck are you starting in rock wool ?
Due to unforeseen circumstances the house that it was in is getting searched by the dcs so everything is torn down and in store. Words cant describe how bummed out I am.
It's been 24 hours, neither seed has popped yet but they are a bit swollen. The paper towel dried up a bit so I re-dampened the towel. Hopefully tomorrow they will be popped and about a inch long.
That's something hopefully these gals will teach me. The blackberry and kings kush both popped, the blackberry is growing a bit faster than the kings. I'm going to let them soak another 24-36 hours.
Quick note I finally calibrated my ph meter and ppm meter. My tap water is actually not to bad I don't think. Ph was 6.4 and ppm was 084. I'm thinking I'll just get some ph down at Walmart.
Walmart sells ph down? For what? Lol That's really good tap water if it's reason 84.. The hell do you live? You sure your house doesn't have a filter lol my tap water is like 700 ppm in a city no well water or shit like that
Yea, I bought a temp/humidity meter from there yesterday and looked to my left and seen ph up and down lol. And I don't think it has a filter, I used water from the upstairs bathroom and my buddy said that was has always tasted a little different than downstairs so idk what the deal is with that. But yea my tds-3 meter read it at 084 or 086 ppm can't remember.
Let my tap water sit out over night to see if it affected the water and I'm not sure if my meter is fucked or if ph rises after sitting for about 24 hours. My ph is now 7.5 and ppm 081. My blackberry kush seed is getting s pretty decent root going compared to the kings it has grown triple the size as the kings.
Man, get those seeds out of the paper towe asap! Youre going to kill them. Adjust your water and then put these babies straight into the clay, rock wool sucks
