Let's hope the newly elected PM Justin Trudeau keeps his promise of working right away to decrim and eventually legalize Cannabis. What do you blades think? There are many ways for this to go wrong IMO. I remain hopeful, however.

  2. With harper out, we made a step forward. Still going to be a while till we see progress but it will come. This was straight up our best chance of legalization and it happens. Will be fun to see what comes of it.

Until then, I guess I have no choice but to break the law by consuming my favorite plant, however I please.

I feel warm on the inside, a new hope, a new future.

  3. It's gunna happen but I'm worried about it getting more expensive due to the greedy government taxing it like they do with cigarettes and liquor. Fucking government is greedy and they only want the money from it because they see the success of other states and get greedy for their new found wealth

  4. If they do tax the fuck outta it (they will) there will always be that guy selling without taxes :)

  5. They can tax it if they want, I think they should/will. Is that really going to change anything? We already get it cheap and its not like our hook ups will stop selling. I only see positives come of this. We will basically all get a new hook up that has legitimate hours and always have pot.

I am fairly convinced that legalization will occur, and will be a boon to our nation. Watching the experience of Colorado, as well as Washington and Oregon, doing this on a national basis will strengthen our agricultural sector as well as our tourism sector. (How about that down east Lobster Supper to satisfy the munchies?) I predict a system paralleled to our provincial treatment of liquor. (The government will buy packaged weed from producers, who had better up their game, and sell it to the public through government stores, much like our "Liquor Control Board" or "Beer Store-Brewer's Retail".

I predict that the government will allow for a limited amount of home grow for personal use, much like we treat homemade wine. Canadians, as is our character, will not make a lot of noise about this. This is Canada.

I'm happy that it could be in the future. but am worried that it could be phased in governments style then "peoples style". like higher prices(through taxes) , quality( good or bad).

I don't know where I'm going with this. but keep the cost the same is mostly what I worried about. like I can get a once at 220 and a top shelf ounce at 240-260. but if its going to be upwards of 3-400 bucks then imho potency should be 3-400 buck. one hit level 11. beggars cant be choosers and there is a lot of time, plus a lot of ways around it plus existing "infrastructure".
