Organic feeding schedule

Discussion in 'Growing Organic Marijuana' started by thcmastera, Oct 14, 2015.

  1. Anybody have any recommendations on when to feed organically? I switched over to organics from Fox Farm Nutrients. My soil mix is ocean forest mixed with bat guano high in nitrogen and another high in phosphorus, lime, perlite, and rock phosphate. Do i top dress every few weeks with bat guano ? Or do I wait until i see the first signs deficiency. I'm getting anxious worrying about this and I don't want to switch back to fox farm.

I forgot to mention I also water with aerated teas.

With tOrganic soil feeding is constant. Lol. Idk much about ffof. I'd look at the amendments in it. Compare your soil to some of the other commonly used recipes and soils around GCO and see where you may or may not be lacking. So you can be prepared to address a possible deficiency later. Or if you have time, amend your soil further before starting the grow and set yourself up for some smoother sailing.

  3. I was looking at SubCool Super Soil mix..

  4. From what I hear...Not the best. Not the worst. It'll get you there with water only.

  5. Ahhhh ... The mix very few here pay any attention to.[IMG] Trust me, Sub's recipe is far from being "Super".

Check out the Easy Organic mix sticky above if you want to look for something to compare and get ideas from, or the No Till sticky in the same area.

    No worries, you'll be fine.

  6. Agreed. Far better ways to go. If you haven't started yet.

  7. Nope not yet, I'm going to create my own and experiment

  8. 1/3 quality humus, 1/3 aeration, 1/3 SPM or leaf mold. Plus ammendments. Start by looking into this. There are pseudo organics and there is real SFW focused gardening, which is really the be all end all of organic growing. In terms of cannabis, gardening with the soil food web produces the very best in aromas, flavors and high types. And the yields (if you wanna think in these terms) are on par with popular synthetic growing methods.

IMO, there isn't an "organic feeding schedule" in the sense you are thinking of "feeding". Things aren't quite as they appear, read on and the fog will soon clear.

What's the feeding schedule for the majestic Redwood forests?

    Trust me, it's my 1st post. ;)

whaoo partner. Is everything healthy? If it is let it be.

Make yourself a nice simple kelp/alfalfa/comfrey tea. I use a teaspoon per l of water. Aerate 24 hrs that's it.

Use this when your just about to flower and use it right the way thought.

Stop a week or so ahead of harvest

At the same time topdress readily with ewc or compost mixed with kelp and some guanos. Lighter on the guano- it's easier to add more.

Spray once a week with neem to you see buds then stop

Read the threads wet suggested nobody can write it all like a chem feeding chart - well they can but yaknow..
