Maybe they just aren't ready/are real late bloomers. They look healthy so I wouldn't worry too much. But I do hope they flip for you soon. I also wonder if 12 hours dark isn't enough for them. Maybe try giving them slightly less light and more dark. Like 11.5/12.5 for a few days and if that doesn't work do 11/13.
I think it's just they weren't ready for flower yet, which is why next pull I just want one big plant. So one doesn't out grow the other. The special is just stretching for the sky. It's just about doubled in size since the flip which was 12 days ago. Does the stretch end about 3-4 weeks into 12/12?
Yeah, just about all the plants I've ever grown stop stretching between 3 - 4 weeks, and bud development kicks in.
2 weeks flower today! Special Kush 33" tall Critical Kush 26" tall I'm not sure if critical is a male or what I took some real close up pics if anyone can help.
On the critical the little dot is so tiny I just zoomed in close. Could it still be female hairs waiting to burst out? By the way the only critical pics are the purple ones. The others are of the Special Kush which I know is female.
Day 18 Flower Still not seeing sex on critical Kush. Took some close up pics if any pros can tell. Special is shooting pistels and vertical growth has slowed a bit. Possibly ending stretch a little early?? Critical Kush close ups Special Kush
RIP Critical Kush 9/28/2015-11/29/2015 So down to just the special Kush #1. Luckily she was the bigger of the two and I still believe she will be a decent producer. ^^^^ forgot to add. Critical was a male.
LST is okay when almost through the stretch? Then again I guess I'm not breaking the stems just bending.
Right. Just gently tie them back somehow. You don't need to forcibly bend them over. You just want to spread it open some.
I'll have to run up to the hydro store and get some stuff to do this tonight. If anyone is interested here's the stem of the critical after I killed it.
Day 20 Flower Special Kush #1 37" tall, started flower @ 16" Did a res change last night and had ppm set at 740 and by tonight it dropped to 530. So I'm going to bump her up a bit tomorrow morning. Using the same ratios of the GH schedule in bloom. However this change added Floralicious Plus @ 1ml per gallon. I'm a little afraid to LST at this point because I can only bend the branches a little bit and it feels like any more will break them. They are all pretty thick.
Sad to see the critical go but at least it wasn't everything you had! LST would be good like crankz said to help open it up a little more. However you are there in person and if you think they'll snap or stress then just leave it alone. Sounds like the better of two options at this point.
Day 22 Flower. About 38" tall Nothing new. Vertical growth has slowed a bunch. Looks like she's starting to focus on the buds. Drinking lots of water and nutes as ppm are still dropping fast.
