Goofed with rockwool

  1. So I popped my seeds into rockwool two days ago. Then I put the rockwool into clay balls over ph'ed water with air stones pumping. I'm certain I dropped them way too deep in the rockwool though. Now I'm nervous and not sure what fixes to implement. Should I be blocking light, providing light, cutting away the top of the rockwool, or leaving them the hell alone? I just don't know. Any tips would be appreciated.

  2. Take them out of the catballs. then while holding your finger over the whole you put the seed it, shake some water out of those things, then a cfl or light source 6-10-" over it and wait. you could gingerly try to take a tooth pick and pull them close to the tops but they will prob come up anyways. check your cubes everyday and once they are started to get a lil to dry add some water, don't drown the cube, take a bowl fill with some water and dip just the bottom of the cube count 1001, 1002, 1003 take out.
they hold way more water then a new plant needs.
now... Your young plant doesn't need to be ph balanced for the water at all, the only time that is a concern is when you are giving them nutes, and you wont be doing that for a couple weeks at the earliest. So dump that water out, ph up and down are acids, that would burn your newborn roots. :) Gluck my friend..
