can you get depersonalisation from CBD Oil?

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by ramsey32, Oct 8, 2015.

  1. Hey Everyone,
My name is Ramsey and i have had DP/DR since i was like 11 or something, from lack of sleep and travelling.
It's not constant it's off and on, i get it from smoking weed, but also from walking down the streets at night.
So i don't blame weed or anything, i just blame my brain

Recently i've picked up 11% CBD oil, for my sleep problems.
But i have expierenced some slight DP/DR issues, i'm not sure if my brain is playing tricks because CBD is linked to weed.

Anyway , is it possible that CBD causes DP/DR-like symptoms, and has someone else expierenced this kinda problem?
I still smoke weed now and then, sometimes it brings DP/DR back sometimes it doesn't

  2. I'm using CBD for a bout a week now, it makes my head more clear, but i feel slightly more depersonilization.
maybe it's just cause my head is more clear, that things flow differently.

    any suggestions?

I used to have a touch or DP when I was 18, I felt like everything was not real, like a dream as if I was in the matrix - (To readers - this is what DP does) The sort of strange feeling you get after a serious panic attack - When I started to smoke weed it would get better or worse depending on the strain, I found that a Indica/Sativa Cross of 60/40 was best, relaxing but a nice head high, the best way to over come this is experiment with different CBD Strengths and Strains. Believe it or not I would have meditated after smoking, get a feel for your surroundings and thoughts, take more things in, for example if your out walking don't just walk, look around, look at that trees leaves etc [IMG] feel more things don't just do it. As good old Bob Marley once said - "Some people feel the rain, others just get wet". As well as doing talk therapy. This will help with DP as I no longer have it and this is what I did.

Always remember, in terms of mental health, smoking weed and getting the right therapy is esstential, don't use CBD or THC just to temporarily mask the problem which is what most people do and end up worse, speaking from experience :)

  4. Thanks dude,
I'm aware of when/how/what and how much can effect the expierence, first time i got DP from weed i could swear it was because we where smoking on my dad's balcony, he wasn't home , but the feeling from "what if he gets home early" really ruined my high, and caused me to panick at that time a little bit.

But about CBD, i read everywhere that it's "side-effect free" how come i still get DP/DR in light forms after using?

  5. The biggest problem with self-diagnosing yourself is believing your own ailments are affecting you the way they are. This is why doctors profit from pain.

  6. No problem man. In response to your CBD question, No medication in the world can help a mental disorder, it can help yes, CBD will help, but you will need to do some therapy for DP, you will get touches of it from time to time as I explained but it will go away mate, trust me.
