Hey blades I was wondering if any of you guys use uber . I use it. I actually drive sometimes along with my other job. Was wondering if anyone else drives with uber on the forum? If not does anyone use the uber app to get rides? I'm new to the uber, but love it
You're basically being a taxi driver, using your own car, paying for wear & tear & gas...and making a contract fee to recover said costs and make a profit. Just looking at the way it's structured I feel like Uber is a great deal for the customer but a poor one for the drivers. Uber is a company who's net worth was $18 billion last year (some reports have it around $50 billion now), and it's 5 years old. They're taking huge advantage of drivers, imo. If they paid for your gas or basic maintenance on your car (brakes, tires, oil changes) then it'd be worth it. As it is...if you factored in the cost of gas and service to your car incurred from taxiing people around, you'd pry be making minimum wage or close to it.
I know I can get a $8 Uber ride over a $25 taxi ride. I've heard that on weekends they charge regular price though, not sure if that's true or not
i think i still want to give it a try. yellow taxi is shit too since u pay that monthly fee for your car would love to hear more feed back from the drivers point of view.i think im going to dive in head first once i can buy like a 5-7000 dollar car and drive that shit into the dirt and hopefully will have cake stacked
