First time attempting RSO to treat brain tumour

    Hello,

    I've just gathered all the things I need for RSO and I'm about to start the process. I'm just looking for some reassurance here. I could only find 99.9% isopropanol in the UK. Is this safe to use? I don't want to harm my dad in any way. I'll be following the Rick Simpson tutorial and have medical grade cannabis with a high THC so I think everything is good to go. Just not sure about this isopropanol, can anyone advise or give me some tips?

    Can you find some high proof ethanol instead? 75%+? Are you familiar with the solventless methods?

    I'm not familiar with them, didn't even know it was possible without solvent! I'll have a look for ethanol

    Just very high proof spirits at 75% or higher. This will guarantee the medicine will be "food grade". Have you smoked these buds yourself? Did it give you good effects? If so go for it.


    There are a few solventless methods I can think of. There's flower rosin, hash rosin, bubble hash that melts, coconut oil infusions, and so on. The infusion won't give you a raw oil, but will extract it into the coconut oil that you can make into foods. A raw oil is often preferred among people for ease of dosage and you can tell the quality usually. People seem to get better effects when it's more "concentrated", even if the dosage is similar, for some reason.


    If the starting material is good that's all that really matters. Mediocre material will not do the job. After that you just want to get 1000+ mg of cannabinoids by oral ingestion made from high quality strains. For a brain tumor I suggest getting the dosage as high as possible, even beyond what I'm listing. If your dad is on pharma drugs it should greatly ease the side effects at bare minimum and make them substantially easier to tolerate for his body.

    I know there is a lot of advice here. Start him slow. Small amount first and work up to higher dose. Only what he can handle each day. Don't be afraid. Cannabis can't hurt him. Take the time to watch Youtubes on making the oil and take all precautions so you don't blow yourself up. No use you trying to help your dad if you are in the hospital with burns.


    I think your solvent will be just fine. Do what you can to rid the oil of as much solvent as possible without burning the oil. Let us know how it goes if you don't mind.

    I posted a reply and update and just noticed it's not gone through.


    Basically, I made the oil and it turned out OK. Got about 6ml and my friends grandad is taking it.


    Update on my dad: his cancer was found in his lung and possibly throat. Brain tumour was removed and his speach is gone. He's taking oil 4 times a day, he's finding it ok. Sleeping loads but he's working every day which I after brain surgery and lung cancer is amazing. He's having a scan soon and we will see if the oils doing its job so fingers crossed !! Thanks everyone for your input I felt so much better making it and giving it to otherS with your support.

    I'm using the rosin tech now to make my own RSO, with a Remington S96 hair straightener, with a good amount of pressure, sometimes from a clamp, sometimes from stomping the straightener directly. It's good to "compact" your bud with another clamp before you press. Find the best, frostiest 5* weed you can find with a nice cure, rosin it, decarb in the oven 265F for an hour, and mix it into some food. I like making honey toast. You can't go wrong this way, you will get a nice golden potent effective oil every time. No solvent necessary. Just use some good heavy indicas and they will do some good help (hopefully).
