  1. So I'm at the electrical stage of my grow room setup. I have been told I need to add a 30amp breaker for my lumatek dual 600watt 240v ballast. Firat of all the plug for the ballast has a round prong, and two sideways prongs. I think it's called a 6-20 or 6-30r? I am also adding a 15amp breaker and one box with two single outlets for my fans etc. I am very new to all of this. I have wired a thermostat and sprinkler system and changed out switches and receptacles so I have a very BASIC knowledge of electrical work, I am comfortable doing this task however I am running into a few bumps.
#1. single or double pole15 amp breaker?? I can't quite figure out what this means.
#2 my house was built in 1990, not super old but not brand new, I have a breaker box outside with a few double breakers, one being main, one being dryer and one solar panels. There is room for more. However only room for one.
#3 I have a 2nd breaker box in the garage where my grow room setup is, this box also only has room for one more breaker.

Can i wire the 30amp breaker to the main breaker box outside and the 15amp to the breaker in the garage?

#4 the only receptacle I found to fit the sideways prongs is a 20amp 250v. Will this work to be wired to my 30amp breaker?

  2. I also need to know how to run the wires. It's a garage so I don't mind running them along the ceiling, however would I just run those into the box and let them stick out the side of the panel?
