What Should I Expect?

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by NewSmoke15, Oct 4, 2015.

  1. So I just found out that in 3 days a Walmart near me is offering on-the-spot interviews to anyone who shows up. Should I expect a drug test if I'm hired? How long after getting a job would they test you? I've been smoking daily for the past 3 months so I'm definitely not ready for a DT.

  2. yes they will send you for a drug test. Usually right away :(

  3. Well fuck. Looks like I'm continuing my search for employment. :(

Walmart does a four step process. The first interview is usually with an assistant manager or support manager. They look over your app and ask you a few questions. If they like you then you move to a second interview which is usually done with a shift manager or assistant manager. Often these two interviews are done back to back. If you pass the second interview then they normally tell you that they would like to hire you and that someone from hr will call to setup step three. This may take a day or two before they call depending on the store. Step three is where you sign your acceptance of the job offer, fill out your paperwork for the back ground check and get the paperwork for your drug test. They normally give you at least 24 hours from the time you sign paperwork before you have to complete your drug test. Once you take your test, and your background check goes through they will call to set up your orientation date. Often hr is busy or they are waiting on a full orientation class but if you don't hear anything within a week of taking your test call the store and speak with hr. Many times what you may fear is a failed test result is just a lazy hr manager dragging their feet.

Grab some synthetic urine and go get that job if you really need it.

  5. I
I was told that since walmart uses actual lab testing that synthetic urine is useless.

  6. not sure who told you that but it simply isn't true. Good synthetic urine will pass a lab drug test. I've used it twice for Walmart personally, in two different states. Just make sure whatever you get contains Uric acid as that is what causes many to fail. Only some states test for it but not all synthetic products contain it for some reason. The latest versions of quick fix all contain it, as do any of the better synthetic products now.

  7. Sweet! Thanks!

By the way, I will also add that there is some misinformation about a lab test. 99.9% of all drug test are lab tested by a machine. Rarely do companies pay for an actual quick test for pre employment. It cost them more and spread across 1000s of employees it is a large portion of hiring cost. Either they use an e-screen which is a machine often located at the sampling facility or it gets sent overnight to a lab where it gets put through another machine.

The terms machine and lab illicit fear because a machine can test for everything. However, just because your sample goes through a machine does not mean they are doing a complete analysis of every component of your urine. Law still dictates that they can only test for drugs, adulterants, and certain levels that may indicate tampering. Things like specific gravity, creatine, water content, and Uric acid. They can't just test it for whatever they want. As long as your synthetic products meets the requirement for the components they test for then they have no way to determine if this synthetic or not.
