Slowly but Surely

  1. I am worried that my Babe (hopefully a "she") is not doing so well. Very slow to grow. Short and stubby, chode-like complexion.

  2. Put up a pic please.

  3. Here are a few pics

  5. To give you an idea of its growth, I took this picture (of the same plant) on August 25, 2015.

Ok, check your ph in the water/feed your giving the plant.

Ph should be around 6.5 to 6.8 in soil.

I'm thinking your going to need to flush the plant. Flush with RO or distilled water.

Put 3times the amount of water to the size of the planter through the soil. Makes sure the water totally soaks the whole planter.

Are you giving your plant nutes?

  7. you're over watering stop misting them and let them dry out

  8. Thanks for the pointers. And, @trichuk yes I have been gradually (very gradually) increasing the amount of nutes to water ratio. The nutes mixture i am using are FloraNova "Grow" (made by GH).

  9. @tonystarks423, good plan! I think I'm going to order some seeds from somewhere online.

  10. One more

  11. It isn't how they start...it's about the finish.

In my case, both seemed like they started slow. But they really took on some life around the time I switched to a flowering cycle. I've got pictures from last week in my grow thread (also in the gallery). They are just finished with nine weeks from the time they went into the soil.

  12. Looks lush and tight but definitely over watered. Your soil looks weak. Where's the aeration? Do you have a fan?

  13. I'm on my first grow, went with FEM northern lights. It's a good one for a beginner. Really i can't complain. Got them from ILGM.

  14. I've ordered from Nirvana and Herbie's. Herbie's doesn't exactly have the selection but they got it to the east coast of the US 8 days from payment. Nirvana took a few extra days, but both made it just fine.

I'd suggest researching the strain you think would fit you best. Get to know that strain and perfect growing it before moving on. I should have done that.

I'm searching for that strain now (bad social anxiety and depression). Something to stop the bad days for no reason, ya know. That's what's most important as a grower I think. Not just finding that dank strain all your friends will praise you for, that comes later. Shit, anything you grow will most likely be better than shit you get on the street.

  15. Stop misting your leaves

  16. Will do, @Magoo!

  17. You started that thing in a HUGE container and this slowed down the time it takes for the plant to grow again where you can see it....the foliage. And in most cases of new growers, this led to over watering I suspect. The plant does all it's work below soil level first, so if you put a tiny plant into a huge container, you're going to be waiting awhile. Keep your containers small from the beginning graduating up a size as the plant requires it. You simply must have defined wet/dry cycles for your plant. Otherwise, you'll continually saturate the roots and create problems that way. Happy roots make for a happy harvest so you have to try and provide the absolute best environment for the root system possible to get the most out of it you can. Sounds like you could use some basic education on how to grow these things. Get on the new grower threads here and read until you know and understand the basics: pH range/management (6.3 to 6.7 for soil), grow media (type of soil your plants need), watering habits, lighting, nutes (learn what the numbers on the bottle mean and what your plant wants at each particular stage of life) and proper potting technique. It's not rocket science, but you've got to know and understand the basics. Good luck! TWW
