I've been given a few dabs here and there and only once was I given a good amount that showed how good it can be, tried wax using a vape pen and noticed the high was so much different than an actual dab and returned it. Fast forward to now my dealer and I were talking about wax and he said he'd given me his oil rig for free and that all I would need to buy is a torch. Should I go for it guys? Is this an awesome opportunity? Does it matter what oil rig he gives me? Really wanna be able to take my own fat dab haha.
Obviously ! If it's a glass nail you should invest in a Quartz or something, they're rather cheap and don't break as easily, I've gone threw so many glass nails. You'll also probably be able to use a small torch lighter which at a smoke shop near where I live only cost $5 +$3 for butane. But if you have a TI nail you might want to get a torch head from a hard ware store, you can get a decent one for $20 and a really nice one for $50-70 , I've had a $50 torch head before and used a $20 torch head and I can really tell the difference. Just make sure you don't get one too cheap or it'll be a waste of money haha. Oil is gonna cost $20-40 a gram, generally I find it to be around $20-25. Definitely get the free rig lmfao
I would take it, but buy a decent torch like a newport or vector. And you should invest in a good nail as well. If you go Ti then pay a minimum of $60 and make sure its a reliable company...check out some threads here, the blades will speak the truth.
See the price is what I was talking about..it was the startup cost that stopped me from looking into it in the first place. So even with a free rig I would need to invest into a good nail on top of a good torch? That's looking to be $100 alone and that's not even counting the gram that's going to cost $60.
Bed Bath & Beyond has you covered for a torch, practically the same as a Vector, only $30 and has a lifetime warranty. I've taken mine back to replace it like 3 times, I'm about ready to do it again too! hahaha
If I'm going to drop so much money it makes me think of other things I could invest it in like my original plan to buy the Puffco vape pen which one first place high times 2015 vape reviews list for $80, but people swear a rig is the only thing that will do what makes wax so insane...
Okay that sounds like a great idea!! So a torch for only $30 perfect, so what about nails is there really a difference in nails? Would I be able to tell even tho it's my first times really dabbing? Or depending on what rig he gives me I'll really need to consider buying a different nail?
Depends on what you want to go with, cheap quartz can be fine if you take care of it but if you want to get titanium then I would recommend you invest in something like Highly Educated.
I think for now I'll just stick with whatever nail he has and down the line once I have a need for wanting a better nail I'll get one.
Problem is since its free I am assuming he will give you a glass nail with a dome. The glass nails are meant to be temporary and are infamous for cracking/breaking/exploding(term is used lightly). I dropped around $150 on my nail, and the best part, I don't even use it anymore since my sublimator is more convenient.

I'll have to see then because if all goes well I'll only need to buy the torch and wax and that is $100 right there. I could use that for s half o of dank or something but from your perspectives it is worth the investment, should I go for it?
I would go for it since its free. Personally I don't have a wax connect, I just make my own when I want some via rosin tech. I am more of a flowers person but there is nothing like a nice hashy hit after a long day. Definitely grab it.

I'm curious how the dab high is going to be, I remember a few months ago I tried wax with a vape pen under the assumption it would completely replace flower, but man was I shocked how light and different the high was. It's hard to explain but when I smoke I go for the complete stooonnneedd high, for lack of better words all the trippy effects you get from being stoned off flower. Seemed like no matter how many hits I took from the wax vape I would need a few hits of flower to get "there" which completely defeated the purpose. Everyone said a rig is the only way to truly get "there" so I'm hoping now I'll get that desired "holy shit" or stoned effect haha.
Just picked up the rig and bought the torch as well. I heard small rigs are the best so when he showed this I was excited as hell!! So awesome!!
I'm picking up the wax at 10, grabbed some dank bud as well and it smells so dam skunky I'm tempted to smoke some but I want to try pure wax for my first time tonight haha. I'll show you a pic of the whole setup tonight and let you know how my first real dab goes!!

so dealer offers you a new way to try drugs. of course, trust your dealer. what's the worst that could happen? (not knocking dabs, but theorizing about hypothetical situations of being offered new drugs is like...)
Dude just.. What? Lol what a twisted way to word it, dude I'm not some little kid he was taking advantage of offering me some random drug or a pill, he was offering me a free dam oil rig used for concentrates which we ALL KNOW OF. As long as it's within the realm of weed it's all good, nothing sketchy about what was given to me. Not to mention I've known him for over 7 years.
