Hello grasscity, Today I come to you for some input. I've been wanting to start a small business for some time now and just recently I began working on an idea. I've always felt strongly about the possibilities and benefits of hemp. I was considering opening a business dedicated to hemp products. I'm talking a wide range of hemp products such as food products (oils,proteins, seeds etc), body care products like all natural hemp shampoo's, lotions, deodorants etc. Stock would also include clothing and accessory items made from hemp, hemp plastics, fabrics, rope/twine and so on. I would probably include a selection of smoking devices and accessories as well to further expand the customer base. What I am asking for is simply opinions. There are no stores in my area with a selection of products like this and there are canadian wholesalers available so acquiring inventory wouldn't be a problem. All I am asking is if you would shop in such a place? Also if anyone knows anything about the business already or has direct experience any help would be appreciated. I am still in the beginning stages and have a lot more research to put in. It's something I feel strongly about and it seems in today's age a lot of people are looking for more natural, environmental friendly alternatives to items that are currently on the market. I feel like it has the possibility to be a profitable business. Thank you for any input in advance
yea combine it with a head shop or something...we had a cool shop like that here called shakedown street that had hippie stuff too
There is a small chain of stores in Boston that sells hemp products. They have clothing, body care accessories, and even smoking accessories. Its called the hempest. PM me for a link to their website.
One product that I know is gaining a lot of popularity via its hemp distillation is CBD oil which utilizes industrial hemp to extract the oil from stalks and seeds for legal distribution in all fifty states.
