Oregon legal pickups

  1. Congrats to my fellow Oregonian blades! October 1st is here!

Let's see all those LEGAL marijuana purchases!

  2. I know I'm not the only one to legally purchase yesterday??

  3. I read this yesterday:

Prices for pot could vary. Several medical dispensaries planning to sell cannabis Thursday have said they'll adjust their prices based upon the market demand, which remains to be seen.
However, Luke Tanner from Mountain View Naturals - a medical marijuana dispensary in Hood River - said he expects the recreational marijuana price to be around $12-20 per gram, at least initially. At $20 per gram, a quarter ounce of dried flower would cost a customer around $142.

Is this true? 142 for a quarter sounds like complete bullshit

  5. I got 1g of Thunderfuck and 1g of OG kush for $20.

they cant legally cut deals for recreational customers so the prices aren't worth it for larger amounts, no.

  6. In Astoria we have prices ranging from $8-$12 a gram depending on quality. I got myself some blackberry kush, blackberry cheesecake, strawberry cough, multnomah coma, sour diesel, pineapple express and a house strain called "sticky bitch" that tested just a hair over 30% thc. I got all these over the course of two days from a couple dispensaries. Your limited to 7 grams a day from any one dispensatory.

  7. Here's a .5 g joint of multnomah coma. Cost $5.

  8. Hell yeah! Even got a goodie bag with rolling papers and a lighter

It seems like if dispensary prices are that high then the black market will be booming. At least you know what you are getting though so its worth it in a sense.

Hopefully Canada will have lower prices when we get recreational dispensaries. Come on Liberals!!!!

Edit: But huge gratz to the people of Oregon!!!!

  10. I think a lot of people are buying from the dispensaries to be a part of history in a sense. In the future I will be using them primarily for clones and seeds. We can currently purchase up to 4 clones and an unlimited number of seeds on any one day.

  11. As noted earlier in the thread, it remains to be seen if they truly adjust pricing to market conditions. However, even if they do not, I would expect less downward prosecutorial discretion for those caught in black-market purchases.

Price points have to start somewhere, and it is always easier to start at the upper end and then discount than to start low and try to raise pricing.

  12. I smoke oil more often than flower so its nice to get a gram or two and not have to meet up with someone.

The stuff i bought is far better than any shit i got from hookups

I got a mixed quarter ounce for $71 but the costs will be higher when we'll have to pay a sales tax. The taxes start on January 1st and it will start at 25% I think, but the taxes will go down

  14. Where did you hear that? Pretty sure that 25% is taxed to the dispensary, hence, built into the cost already

  15. Prices will vary by shop of course, seems like some places are jacking up prices and others aren't. I'm an Oregonian but I haven't bought from a dispensary here yet, picked up from Vancouver for the first time a few weeks ago. Main Street Marijuana has some pretty good deals sometimes. I got a quarter of Cherry OG for $55, right now they have Mango Maui Wowie and Black Licorice for $53/quarter. Obviously you're not looking at top shelf stuff but I think it was worth it for the price.

They had an ad about $35/quarters starting October 15th. We'll see how that turns out but it would be a great deal.

Sorry to get a bit off topic, I'll visit one of the Oregon dispensaries here soon. Hopefully we'll see some good prices when rec shops open.

  16. Would I be able to legally buy pot in Oregon with the new laws as a Canadian citizen visiting Oregon?

  17. I believe so. As long as you're 21+

  19. oh it has it's ups and downs...

Dispensary is good if you want an 8th but more than that it's not economical.

  20. I would be like a kid in a candy shoppe! A gram of this a gram of that...
