Simply put, I love chillums! They been used for centuries as a smoking instrument. Yes they are primitive, one hole, no carb! Made from stone, wood, ceramic, or glass they remain the perfect pocket pipe for modern smokers. My mission is to take this very minimal shape into new heights! From shaping all the way into function, I'm looking for constructive criticism. Take a look at a few of my pieces and tell me what you think. I have just a few photos tonight but I will make more for this page!
I like chillums too man, and those look pretty nice. Definitely better than the one I have. Is this just a hobby or are you trying to make money doing this?
it all started as a hobby! Took a workshop with a local, got bit by the bug, and have been doing it ever since. For me now, it only makes sense to keep doing it, if I can support myself. I have been in a little funk lately, mainly because where I live people use blunts and only buy production glass, I wished I lived somewhere where my glass would be appreciated more. I am new to the forum and I was looking at some old posts about collections and it brought a refreshing brush of inspiration! Just going to keep working on my craft!
A way to make them work well would be to mould them around the way people smoke them. I know I make a ball with my two hands and pop it between middle and ring fiver. Maybe flattening a part of it slightly to make it more airtight? They look awesome tho bro if I lived local I'd buy one for sure!
@deeproots I really like that chillum! There is alot of nice cane work in blue and a dichro ribbon! Keep em coming!
Chillums are the absolute best way to smoke in the shower. Sadly, mine met the cold, unforgiving tile after a slip one day.. I can't smoke inside anymore because I moved, but damn.. That thing was the best for that.
