Hash brownies

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by Sunless Shade, Sep 28, 2015.

  1. Hey fellow tokers,

Do any of you know any good baking recipes that include specifically hash?

I'm assuming hash is easier to cook with since you just melt it in butter and add it to a recipe.

Is it oil or hash? If it's hash and has some plant material, I'd wrap it up in cheesecloth like a teabag, and dispose of it when you're done infusing / decarbing. I'd use water too to filter any bad taste out. Bubble hash is prone to mold so I'd decarb in my oven before I added it to butter.

  3. It's hash. How exactly do you infuse? Do you place the hash (surrounded by cheesecloth) in hot water an let it sit for a while?

  4. what kind of hash are you talking about?

to be honest, it is really easy to cook with ganja.
    1) decarb ganja
    2) simmer under low heat in coconut oil to make canna oil to cook with.
    3) use canna oil instead of butter or other oils that your recipe requires.
    4) youre looking at about 1/4 of a gram to a half of a gram of decarbed ganja per person. any more then that is far to powerful.
    5) it takes about 1/2 hour to start feeling edibles if you made canna oil and it takes about an hour and a half if you just dumped ground up decarbed ganja in the recipe of your choosing. so yes, dumping decarbed ganja and not straining works, it just takes far longer to get high. that and you get lumber on your boxed brownies lol!

    good luck stoner [IMG]

I honestly don't know if I can decarb. Here in Holland it's illegal to buy more than 5 grams and the tutorials on youtube on how to decarb all seem to say that you require an entire ounce. I was thinking about hash because it's much more cost efficient: you only need 1 gram and it costs you about 6 euros. I'm talking about the hash that looks like sticky putty. Here it's just called hasj.

How do you mix hash with butter? Do you just mix it without heat or...? I'm planning on starting small by doing THC-infused tea, which requires a fatty substance such as butter to bind the THC to the water.

  6. 5g is plenty for a batch of brownies in my experience. Or if you prefer hash, that will do nicely too.

Easiest thing is to make a batch of coconut oil or butter. There are detailed instructions for this in the Edibles sub forum. Once you have a batch of butter/oil, then it is easy to measure the dose. As you say, you can add it to your tea, or spread it on toast, butter your corn on the cob, dip your lobster, etc. or use it in baking 1:1 substitution for oil/butter called for by the recipe.

5g bud or 1g hash is not going to be enough for pounds and pounds of cannabutter, unless you are a lightweight trying to make weak edibles. But in my experience, for me with my tolerance, it would be enough for 10-20 doses.

This is good techniques to make hash brownies. I would love to apply this method. i also tried to make it but failed. twoo times i made but did not get any idea to cook it. Now I come to know about the quantity. Firstly I will try to make it for myself only.

  8. Choose a good recipe. Carefully follow the recipe. Exactly step by step. Then you will not fail, you will have success every time. :)

Here is the recipe I followed to make hash cannabis oil for making brownies and stuff. It is not the only good recipe, but it has definitely worked for me: http://forum.grasscity.com/incredible-edible-herb/...
