Hi, so I have around a 4 inch weed plant that seems to be showing its pistils and white hairs coming out. Its a pretty small plant even though its supposed to be sour diesel, i got the seeds from some bud that the dealer claimed to be sour. But its been almost 2 months and its around 4 inches while i have another plant of the same which is 8 inches. The big one isnt showing any sex but the small one seems to have white hairs coming, can someone verify its a female and why its showing sex so early,
    Thanks!!!

  2. Huh. Indeed that appears to be a flowering female plant. Either it's an auto or it's not getting enough light to stay in veg.

  5. You're in the southern hemisphere, right? You may have started your plant too soon. It needs about 14.5 hours of daylight to stay in veg after the first few weeks. You definitely have early flowering, and you may indeed have a hermaphrodite on your hands. I can't say for sure but it kind of looks that way...

Yea im in florida, I was thinking they were new leaves growing at the internodes, really hope It doesnt turn into a hermi, also is there anything i can do to prevent it from flowering rn? Its only about 4.5 inches tall and i don't think it can support any nugs.

  7. Your even further south then I am and I have a narrow window of just 2 months June and July I can depend on seedlings vegging in.. Outside that it's all flower time.. To late now to do much but let them flower and you'll get a few joints worth from them.. Start more seeds but keep them under lights at least 16 hours a day.. You can grow off season as long as it doesn't freeze where your at but you'll need to use lights to veg with.. The closer you get to the equator with it's 12-12 days and nights the smaller your veg window gets.. Next spring along about mid May plant your seeds for a good run outside.. The rest of the year you'll need to play games with additional lights..

  13. I'm in Florida too and doing an outdoor grow. My plant is in a pot, should I be bringing her in and using supplemental lighting as well?
thats beautiful! How south are u. Im on the treasure coast

  14. Good morning ganjagal. Like BrassNwood says, make sure they get 16 hrs. a day, so they don't go into flower too early...

    He's a "highly respected" grower!!
    Best of luck!!!

You have a couple of choices you can either shuffle it in and out keeping the times it's under light over 16 hours per day..
Put it under light's like T5 high outputs, CFL's, or Metal halide to keep it in veg..
Or you can light it up where it is outside with a CFL or a high power dusk till dawn solar will work..
I'm guessing the only reason it hasn't flowered yet is it's still not old enough.. Seedling won't flower for about 30 days until they mature sexually..
Thanks for the kind words guod..

  16. yeah its only three weeks 2 days from seed.
So u think i should have more lights huh? I don't mind moving her in and out. Shes just on my patio. Thanks😀

  17. Im in central Florida, both my plants went into flowering a bit early, but since i couldn't bring them in i decided to let them do their thing as a trial run for next season

Longer hours for sure or it'll try and flower in the next couple of weeks.. It doesn't need much light just long hours of what it does get.. Outside is the best so putting it out for all the sun it can get then bringing it in and setting it under light at night will keep it in veg until it's bigger.. Size in veg equals size in flower.. Bigger is always better.. LOL
Any place it doesn't freeze should be able to flower outside all year long.. I get 4 crops per year in the same in-ground holes.. Veg them up in an old garden shed and set them outside to flower..
    clones..

    Vegging under T5 high outputs

This bunch was set outside to flower in early Sept and will finish in a few more weeks..

As they finish I should have another full sized set of veggers to set out in the just vacated holes..
This is all done in Southern California at latitude 33.7

  19. BrassnWood, what would you used to feed my pineapple. Its the 3week old one. Just been doing organic MG. I dont really know how often and how much because I take it that it is more or less. I started a thread for my grow. Any advice is appreciated and will probably be put into practice. Thanks!
