  6. I would stop gaining. At a minimum. If it was me. That's gonna be hard to carry 20 years from now. And it's only going to get harder to lose the older you get.

  7. As someone older let me encourage you to start working out and lose weight now. The older you get the harder it is to lose. What kind of shape are you in? Are you fit?

  8. Start at any time in which you feel comfortable.

  10. varskiii, I'd be happy to join you for some support. I'm 5' 4", 149 lbs. (started exercise/diet at 184), and
62 years old. My body fat measure at 27% by a scale that measures body fat. I'm a
woman, and also not sure the scale accurately measures such things. It does however show me progress. I'm counting calories- 1,200 day and exercising four- five days a week. Trying to get my 10,000 steps/day. I have dogs so walking them helps me get the steps in. I feel much better than six months ago. I can walk in the sand at the beach without getting totally winded.
    I'm a bit stronger.
I bought a heart rate monitor that sets goals for exercise time , shows calories burned, and %of fat burned. Again, I don't know how accurate it is, but it will be consistent in the measurements for me. It's a fun gadget (Polar HRM), and keeps me motivated to reach my time goals for the week.

You're not doing badly at your current weight. I'm only one pant size under you, but have gone from a 40 to a 36.
Glad to join you in this lifestyle change.

  18. Pic isn't working but it depends on how fat you are. I've gained a shit load of weight this year, went from 160ish last november and just hit 212 today. Really need to get back in shape..

  19. Not to be a douche but the white pants and cheeseburger gut reminds me of randy... but at the same time i should just shut my trap, im 6'0" 250, was 230 8 months ago as a nicotine smoker, i don't smoke that shit no more but ive since found a fondness for anything jacked up in cholesterol and grease.. i also think its time to health up.. meant no offense about the randy thing, hell id look 80 cheeseburgers ahead of ya dude, best of luck to ya get er done
