I play a ton of games, mostly sim now or the Xbox One, but still play my steam games like arma and dayz. Used to be huge into warcraft (I botted and sold gold for 8 years haha) but haven't dared to get back into that, worse than unmentionables. My PC is a little outdated and I've been slowly building 3 new ones for my flight Sim, eventually will be a full cockpit with all displays and gauges along with a motion platform, something like that will need some i7 4790's with titans though, if I want decent frame rates. Got the cases and mobos already, just need the CPUs and GPUs but they are costly so gotta wait till after Christmas when I'm back to work

I just have an older AMD 965 Black edition OC to 4.0 and an R9 270x GPU for now, so when I finally get the titans and i7 it's going to be a huge step up. But for an older chip that 965 is a workhorse as long as you keep it cool.

Not with the scenery I want to run lmao. I'll be spreading the load through 4 PC's, short throw projectors and scenery on one, gauges and instruments on another, addons and weather on another. And flight controls/ and full motion platform on the last and main beast. My buddy just finished his but with 55" HDTVs and runs 5 i7s but just one 970 each and only averages about 30fps with all the major airports and cities. Very demanding on the CPU, only recently (like last month) has it been able to utilize 100% of my GPU thanks to their new update. It's only 32bit so still some limitations with the program until they go 64, costly because you'll get OOM if you try to max out those sliders in large cities or on long haul flights. but by the time I finish I should be a CFI and I'll get it certified for training by the FAA. I don't like to go the cheap route, custom water cooling for all, and heavy OC lol. I was thinking about getting their chip with larger cache but it's too expensive for what I need it for. Girlfriend is alright with it so I'm going for broke lmao

Why does it run so much at once lol? That's crazy lol like im sure there's some loaded you don't see and that's a drain. Never done much with flight or any sim like that though so maybe that's just how they are. I could see a computer a city or state but you don't need more than that really and past that you have a second for inputs and controls spread though so you don't run into lag. But like I said guess they just take more than Im used to. Know you can load massive maps and sims on my computer and it's an i5 4690 no overclock and just a larger heatsink. I can run fl studios photo shop well all of Adobe and load 4k movies and photos into all with no issues lol all at one time. Never ran into a game I couldn't max either. But I haven't played in at least 5 months lol just haven't wanted to.
What short throws you have? I have 3 hitachis cp-a220n and I can't remember the one that's not that model but same thing. Love them pretty bright at as big as it can be (130inches I believe) and overly bright close lol. There about a foot from the wall and have about an 70inch picture. And no fade with lights on in the room. Believe you can pull em back 3 feet and push em up .25 feet. Only thing Iv ran into is Iv had to get into and clean each one. There fans love hair. And you gotta pull the whole board light train and lcd screen to get to em.
