Freezing Synthetic Urine

    Hello, fellow tokers. I have a question about freezing X-Stream Synthetic Urine. About a week ago I bought some synthetic urine from a local headshop. The brand of the urine is "X-Stream". I microwaved the urine and placed it in the appropriate place prior to my interview. Unfortunately, I didn't need to take the test on that day.



    I immediately went home and proceeded to freeze the urine. The urine is still in the freezer. When I thaw the urine, I plan on using hot water; not the microwave. Will the urine still pass a MICCS Pre-employment drug screen? I believe by freezing the urine immediately after I got home, the urine was succesfully preserved. Freezing the urine prevents bacteria and keeps the sample fresh. I also believe; that using hot water instead of the microwave is the BEST solution to warming the urine without affecting the chemical structure of the sample.



    I am currently considering purchasing drug testing strips from a local pharmacy to determine the quality of the urine. If there is any additional advice anyone could offer me, that would be greatly appreciated... 😁

    Bad idea. I have only used Quick Fix and they said you can heat it up multiple times without any degradation. Freezing syth urine is just a bad idea. You should be able heat/reheat it multiple times.

    On the back of the container, it specifically says for single use only. Discard sample after heating. Here is where my logic comes in. The urine was ready to go on that day. By thawing it in hot water, it will revert to the same form and quality that it was on that day.

    If the label says discard after heating then it doesn't really get more clear than that does it? Quick fix's website says it can be frozen but they do NOT recommend that of course yours is different but probably a very similar product.



    What "Test strips" you are talking about at a drug store? If you are talking a home test kit for THC???? Then it tests for THC not if the sample is synthetic or not. Home test kits can be spoofed by handing it back to the tester with apple juice in it and they would not know unless they smelled or tasted it......Maybe they have changed since I bought one two days ago from Walgreens but I seriously doubt it.


    You probably will pass using a thawed sample. Depends on how much you are willing to risk.


    If you really want the job I would get quick fix or one of the others that many people are successful here with and chalk up the mix up as a learning lesson.

    As Above So Below is right, freezing is not a very wise move.


    Keep in mind you can store that synthetic urine in room temperature for a while and it won't go bad. I bought some Monkey Whizz and held onto that for a good 4 months before I had to drop for a job. It was easy.


    Now there's is something you need to keep in mind for your drug test and using synthetic urine: temperature. It has to be between 90-100 degrees Fahrenheit to pass. I recommend buying the Monkey Whizz kit because that thing has a temperature gauge on it and it's pretty accurate. Don't heat it up with hot water though. Use the heat pads that come with it. One will be good.

    UPDATE: So the synthetic urine was frozen until 2 days ago. After I thawed the sample with hot water, I took the sample with me to a pre-employment drug test. I went to a company called LabCorp. I got the results back today, and I passed. I read the report and the sample was clear for all drugs (of course). So as far as X-Stream synthetic urine goes, I HIGHLY recommend this product. This product can also be frozen for weeks/months at a time and can still be at peak quality when thawed out. It is an excellent product. Also, for those who said that freezing it was a "bad idea" you ALL were completely wrong. Honestly freezing it is probably the best idea. (if you heat the sample in the microwave but don't need it that day freezing it is THE BEST idea.) Just be sure to thaw with hot water.

    Don't be hardheaded and screw yourself out of a job because you don't follow the recommended directions from the product manufacturer. LOL I have my ideas about things too, but I am no chemist by any means, and I seriously doubt they'll give you a shot because your synthetic urine showed up bad. LOL

    First of all, "The Widow White" I was not hardheaded and did not "screw" myself out of a job. If you would have actually taken the time to read all of my posts, you would've realized that I followed all of the directions perfectly. However, I did not need to take a urine test on the day that I prepared the urine. It is not my fault that I wasn't aware of the circumstances of the Job interview. (Not all places conduct interviews the same.) So, please forgive me for being proactive, and investing in a positive future for myself. However, if you did read all of my posts (which I'm sure you did not) it also isn't my fault that you failed to comprehend what I previously stated. I am not a chemist either, however; by conducting this experiment I saved many people (including myself) precious time, stress, and funds. My synthetic urine did not "show up bad" by any means. Next time, please take careful consideration into what you're going to say when replying to a topic. Also, for future reference please READ the post carefully before responding. "LOL"

    I was willing to risk it, and my plan prevailed. I was also not referring to THC drug test strips/kits. I was actually referring to strips that test creatinine, pH levels, etc.

    don't listen to these people, this thread may be a year old but it just saved swim from buying another bottle of synthetic urine because swim went to take his test today and he only used half his bottle of synthetic urine and wasnt sure if he could save the rest for next time and just buy a 5$ hand warmer instead, this thread basically told swim that he doesnt have to feel bad about wasting a whole half bottle of synthetic urine he paid good money for it he feels like throwing half of it away would be a huge waste especially since he only needs half to pass his test
