Q-tip tech for quartz

  1. Got a new quave banger about 3 weeks ago and started doing the q tip tech. After each dab you use a Q-tip to clean the inside of the nail. Whipes up any remaining residual oil to keep it from burning off and staining your nail when you reheat it. I am about 150 dabs into this nail so far and still looks almost new where as on my last quave banger my nail was turning black 150 dabs in.

  2. I never liked any of the quartz nail designs until the banger. I recently obtained one and at first I was doing the q-tip tech, but then I thought I needed the residual oil to help season it and now its black.

  3. No need to season with quartz. Right temp and the first dab off a new quartz nail taste amazing and normal. Here are some pics i just took of my banger after around 150 dabs.

  4. You don't season your Quartz?

  5. Nope. No need to for quartz

  6. I've always got a funky taste when I don't season my Quartz. Granted I've only had 2 but both good quality

  7. Yea i normally do season but wanted to try it without seasoning. Heated, waited 55 seconds and dabbed. tasted just fine, the only time i get a funky taste was when i dabbed off too hot of a banger.

  8. what are you carving with?

  9. Banger cap.

  10. My banger was spicy as fuck until I seasoned it(or maybe just was having trouble dialing in the right temp?) The first few dabs where noticeably spicy(not harsh, but like a spiciness). Now its all good.

This being my first banger I do love the design I am just not sure how I feel about that banger cap yet. Seems like a traditional carb cap is more convenient.

  11. Well I tried my newest banger without seasoning, and have been q-tipping it religiously too. It is legitimately cleaner, and it was a cheaper thinner nail than my last one. There is almost no staining at all after a week of use.

In all honesty, the first dab i took off it, at a really low temperature too, did have the plastic taste still though. Maybe it's just the lower quality quartz, but that taste was still there... I'm still not going to season quartz anymore though anyway, the taste was the same if not a little better than after seasoning it with reclaim. Reclaim stains the nail flavorwise, maybe that's what i've tasted on my old ones when I seasoned it and then started dabbing. The plastic taste wasn't as bad the 4th or 5th dab in on the new one, It was gone pretty quick.
