Crazy Planets

  1. Some of these are really cool and mind bending. Goes to show just how crazy it gets out there in space, and this is just what we know so far based on our very limited technology. Who knows what else is out there.

  2. Can you post the video name? I can't see it on mobile

  5. I often mention in these forums that people simply don't get the sheer size and complexity of the nature out there. When I hear about crazy places like these I instantly go "Of course. What's next?"

Without getting too stonerish here (too late), that's the real mind fuck about what reality actually is. It's so unfathomably vast in possibilities that it might as well be infinite, ergo just about everything and anything is possible given enough time and the right circumstances.

  6. Not to take away from the subject, but I couldn't stand the host. Had to stop it after the 2nd planet.. not just cause of the host, but the 2nd planet is sensationalized science media. They don't know if it is actually like a diamond, all they think is that it is made up of mostly carbon. Scientific media outlets are like any media outlet, they like to exaggerate to get views.. and that is what they did with that planet. Took the theory that it is made of carbon and stepped it up to say it is diamond to draw interest from people who don't really keep up to speed with astronomy.

That said, I'm sure there are some crazy planets out there. I'm not opposed to the possibility of there being planets similar to Earth, but the size of the sun.. or ones where it's rotational speed is so fast that it flings chunks of land up, but they then balance out with gravity pulling them back so they seem to float. If the universe is infinite, the possibilities are endless.. but possibilities are just that, possibilities. Even crazier if you factor in the possibility of highly advanced intelligent life altering or even creating planets.
