Sprouting plants discolored

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by Marl3ysMom, Sep 9, 2015.

  1. So I germinated the seeds. They sprouted the day after I planted them. This is approximately 8 days after they sprouted. Never done this before, please help. All advice welcome. I have them outside under a covered porch, I'm moving them inside this weekend.

They look really wet, what soil are they in? They looks pretty healthy to me i see a brown spot on a little round leaf and that's about it. I'm new too but the first things i'd do is make sure the soils ph is around 6.5 - 7, if you don't have drainage holes on the bottom get some in there. Don't over water let the soil get almost bone dry before you do. Good soil is really important. And honestly i wouldn't plant them in clear containers since the light can damage your root system. i don't know much about outdoor growing so i can't really give any good info about that. inside you want to give them 18 hours of light 6 hours of dark until you flower. You have lighting already set up?

  3. I'm thinking before u bring them inside, u should transplant them in to new planter with some new soil or hydro medium. Plus when bring plants in from outside, u could be bring pest to your indoor grow room.
    Plants look healthy tho.

  4. That's great to hear guys thank you. I have holes in the bottom. I am buying lights this weekend. I planned on transplanting them at the same time. I have only watered them one time, two days ago and not heavy. I need a pH kit cause I know the water here isn't good. I'm super new I've never grown anything at all so this is all new to me. But it makes me happy to see them grow everyday. Makes me smile, I'd e devastated if something happened to them.
If I use new soil how do I get most of the old soil from around the roots?

Do some research before you get your stuff, i'd recommend jorge cervantes ultimate grow dvd1, it's up on youtube for free. It's where i got most of my good info.Actually that's where my obsession began. lol

  6. when you transplant be as careful as possible you don't wanna mess with the roots too much. It will shock the plant and stunt its growth.

  7. Lol ok thanks for all the help. I'll be sure to update.
