  1. These were the pots I use as well as how I had them in the tent before they got huge! Lol

  2. That looks like a bigger setup than I would have. Looking at 3x3 tent, I'd probably get a smaller system for 3 plants. What would you recommend?

Thanks for all the help mate, top bloke
    Smoke on

  3. Hey quig how about a couple of the water farms by GH? They work really well IMO, I always have a few in use from time to time. They use an air pump to push air down a column which results in water coming up the column and out the drip ring

  4. they hold about 2 gallons in the grow chamber and the Rez is about 4 gallons

  5. oh yeah I almost forgot,
MY COBS ARE HERE!!!!! Gonna build a light kinda like the sketch.

  6. Awesome I'll check them out now, this will help with scheduling feeding times automatically throughout the day right? Do they ever seem to get clogged?
Sorry for all the questions, really appreciate you helping out.

  7. Hey np man, we all need a little help sometimes. As for the waterfarm buckets they haven't clogged on me yet or seem like they will. They really are simple and very convenient. Haven't had a single problem yet out of them, doubt I will. I think they would be a great choice for the size of tent your going for. And all you have to do to schedule feedings is add a timer to the air pump.

  8. Starting to get my head around it all now
So with this drip system, it's a bubbleponic system that is always running, giving oxygen to the roots etc and continually circulating nutrients/water over the roots, or does it feed the plant based on a timer schedule?
That sounds like a simple question but I'm still pretty stoned over this morning haha

  9. Lol, I hear that the wax has been giving me a run for my money lately.

As for the bucket it will only drip when the air pump is on. So in my case I have a timer on them so they run for 15 minutes then off for 2 hours, then back on for 15 and so on. Not sure if you can run them full time or not, might be worth checking into. Hey did you see my thread on my 8x8 tent? It's in my sig if not, need to add a bit to it but just started it not long ago.

  10. Just started following, looks great. You've got some serious setups and a lot of good good to smoke :)

Perfect that answers all questions, i am pretty excited to learn and expereince as I go along. Hoping to do a log as well so I can keep track of everything. Planning on growing two plants to begin with and manage them well
So I've just done a big search and picked out everything I have in mind to purchase and put together. Here's a list just so you can look over it and let me know what I'm missing etc.

    Ventilation duct: http://www.aussieponics.com/index.php?route=produc...
Lights: http://www.aussieponics.com/index.php?route=produc... (not sure if i should get HPS or LED, it will be quite hot already)
    Fan: http://www.aussieponics.com/index.php?route=produc... (might get two)

Let me know what you think of those

  11. Okay let me start with the tent and led, I think you will be much better off with a Mars Hydro tent and led combo before the ones you listed. The Tent you listed has plastic corners which is bad cause they crack and the led is garbage take my word on that. As far as the Mars Hydro combo my buddy has one and they are inexpensive and the lights will grow some nice bud, I have witnessed that. As for the carbon filter in my opinion Can Filters and Phresh are the best/better ones out there. The. Ones you have listed might do the job, but for how long? The WaterFarm buckets are great as I have mentioned. As far as the Nutes you listed, I personally use Advanced Nutrients myself but I use the Grow, Micro, Bloom base with B52, VooDoo juice, Big Bud, Overdrive, Bud Candy, and then I use CalMag Plus by Botanicare. You will definitely want the CalMag if you choose LEDs as your lighting source cause it needs it from an early age. The Nutes you had listed are part of a much bigger Grandmaster feeding schedule so unless you already have the base I wouldn't get them. Also If budget is a concern I would personally just save a little longer instead of jumping the gun, you will be happy you did. That being said you can start with the stuff I mentioned like the Mars Hydro combo, you will save a lot and be happy with results.

  12. there ya go Quig, I think you would be better off with something like that. That was the first time I seen the MarsPro lights, they look legit. It's nice that they offer Cree now too. The combo you listed looks great for a couple plants, if you have the space for the next tent size up go for it, I'm always wishing I had a bigger space, lol, and I have an 8'x8'. Also the Nutes you listed from GH are good quality Nutes. They have been around a long time, I don't like that they sold out to Scott's and Monsanto but hey that's how the world goes. They swore they weren't gonna touch the formulas so I think they are still a very safe bet for Nutes. Well looks like your on the right track now and you will be happy with the changes too.
Oh and I gave the girls a trim last night, and a little comparison to size on these cobs

  13. Awesome thanks bro
It's either that MarsPro160 or the Mars II 700, the pro has a really handy remote control with temp/humidity readings. That's crazy that they sold out to Monsanto haha but who hasn't these days, let's just hope they don't start ruining the genetic core roots of cannabis.

I'll also grab some CallMag cause as you said it's essential for LED's, does this just mix into the feed schedule?
I guess I'm nearly at the stage to begin, just one last thing, practical question haha. When the plants get tall and its gets busy in the tent..how do you go about swapping water etc for the individual hydro modules whilst not drying out the roots or leaving them on the ground?

  14. The Mars pro looks pretty choice but I know the Mars 2 are okay as well but the Pro does look better. As for the CalMag like you said just add it into the feeding schedule, no issues there. As far as draining the waterfarm buckets you can spin the hose on the side and drain it through that and refill the same way. A funnel works best when filling back up, when you have then in front of you you will see what I'm saying. I usually set them on a block of wood so they set off the bottom a few inches that way when you spin the hose it drains better. Well I wish you great luck and don't hesitate to ask any questions. Keep us posted and make a journal, it's a great way to keep track of things. Peace out!

  15. Cheers bro

I'll pm you with the setup once it's done. Appreciate the help once again

May the force be with you, smoke on
