Oil based THC/CBD

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by oakblood, Sep 8, 2015.

  1. So...I'm a little confused. New to anything that's not actual bud and smoking.

I got this syringe filled with a great mix of 1:1 THC CBD oil. Taken sublingual.. Takes about 30-40 mins to really kick in. That's the part that seems strange to me as from my understanding aside from smoking...sublingual should be the fastest way to get things Rollin.

    If I smoke it's 10ish mins.

Anyone else have experience with sublingual oil based THC?

  2. I'm no doctor with no experience in biology past what I learned in high school years ago, BUT let's take an educated guess or two.
Inhaled THC/CBD/all that good stuff, goes pretty much right to the brain along with the oxygen you're breathing in. Imagine the oxygen we need to breathe taking that long to get to our brains, wouldn't be so good for us.
When taken under y'all's tongue the compounds are broken down by salivary enzymes and taken in to the digestive track, similar to edibles, but quicker because we actually absorb compounds through our mouths as well as through digestion.
Again, that's a shot in the dark, I do not claim to be a biologist, and I did not use google. Maybe someone in the know can drop us a better answer?

  3. Been smoking just herb over the last few days and the effects are faster...less Intense and last shorter. The end 2 may not be wanted for some people but for myself its excellent.

As a non recreational smoker I use cannabis as a medicinal application. Helps my back and chest pain from 3 herniated discs pretty amazingly
