Purging wax infused rubbing alcohol

    Is there a way to purge the rubbing alcohol?


    I was trying to make glycerin for my vape pen and I ran out of everclear and the only thing I had at that time was rubbing alcohol so I used that instead then I heard rubbing alcohol is not safe to inhale.


    PLEASE HELP!

    I don't know the answer you are looking for since I have no experience with BHO.

    I always let the iso evaporate first. But it's only for smoking.

    put it in a pyrex pan and cover it to keep dust out, and let it evaporate for a few weeks, or speed it up by using a heated vacuum chamber

    Can I use the "double boiler method"? And if so how much do I evaporate? All of it until it turns into sticky goo or enough where most the ISO rubbing alcohol is gone, but enough for it to still be loose enough to be liquidy?

    evaporate all of the alcohol, you do not want to inhale or orally consume iso alcohol...it is bad for you.

    you shouldnt be consuming anything made with IPA.. Pretty much only good for topicals.

    Ok I evaporated all the ISO using the double boiler method and what I have left is pure THC waxo. Can I melt the wax into ever clear alcohol 190 proof then add PG/VG blend to make it safe to smoke?

    whoever is telling you you're making pure THC is blowing so much smoke up your ass

    I apologize. I meant to say pure wax not pure THC wax. If I remember correctly when I bought it from the dispensary it said it was about 72% THC.

    follow a set 'recipe' for the blend and it should be ok to vape (or dab as is) edibles from iso still carry a risk of upset GI tract (the residue from the 'other stuff' making up the % that isn't alcohol)
    you will have lost some of the % and suffered a bit of degrade to cbn but it will still vape/dab well.

    That's good to hear that it is now safe to vape because I went ahead and added a little 190 proof ever clear to melt the just purged ISO wax so that I could easily blended it with PG/ VG mix.
