This is the first time I'm growing cannabis, I have 4 Indica (unknown strain) plants all located in different places in the garden. I started seeding late, started mid-July, and the plants were moved to the ground in the first half of August. Temperature wise, it varies between 28-34 degrees Celsius in the day, and 18-24 degrees at night, and since this is a mountainous area, at night there's a lot of wind, not the kind that can break the plants, but none the less it's windy. Regarding humidity, at day it's 40-60% and a night it shoots up to 80-90%. In our garden there's an automatic projector that lights up the garden, 1 specific plant which is the one closest to the projector is growing better than the rest, the other three still get light, but they are further away. Now this projector turns off every 15 minutes or so to cool up, for 5 minutes that creates complete darkness. They get around 13 hours of sunlight, but that's getting shorter. 2 of the plants I made the mistake of planting very close to each other so one is growing taller, the other one is growing bushier, and the fourth one is planted 2 meters away is also growing bushier. so in total 2 plants growing taller, and 2 are growing bushier.
Now my questions are as follows, since I started seeding quite late, will I get some decent buds to smoke? I mean in terms of growth 2 of the plants are 15-20 cm tall, and the 2 bushy ones are 10-15 cm tall. What will I do when they get to the flowering stage, since the projector is automatic and there's nothing I can do to switch it off? and will the humidity harm the crops since it's so high at night?
I've been doing a lot of reading, but since this is a specific case I'm posting this here. Cheers y'all and thanks for the help in advance

  2. Unless you can disable that light I doubt your going to get the plants to flower.. Cannabis needs 9 to 10 hours of complete uninterrupted dark to flower.. Even 30 seconds of light during the dark period can tip the plants back to veg..

That page is a basic primer on what is going on inside the plant and why you need full dark to flower under..

  3. I need to see if that's a possibility, would a dark plastic bags with holes help? Will it work? Or will it cause the humidity to condense the water?

  4. Get that light out of there. Your just risking problems with a light flashing on and off every 15 minutes.

  5. The problem is that since the house is located within a compound, it's quite impossible to turn it off, the only option I can think of is transplanting the plants, but since they are in the ground it can be a bit of trouble no?

  6. I don't know. I've never moved any of my outdoor plants. I have ideas of how I would go about it but no experience actually doing it. I've seen threads with people having done it. Sorry I can't point you in the direction of where those threads are though.

  7. A 3 or 4 foot tall plant can be dug up and put in roughly a 5 gallon worth of container and if still in veg shouldn't suffer to badly.. Put the plants inside a dark room or blacked out garage for about 12 hours a night for the next 60 to 80 days.. Some guys just use a wheeled cart and run them in and out each day..

  8. I think this is my only option I am gonna wait a bit, hopefully do that next week and move them to an area that gets totally dark.
Thanks Killset and BNW I will post an update when it happens

  9. So today we transplanted the babies from the ground to a 25 gallon pot, I mixed organic compost with airy soil and some fertile soil from the ground, I also added pebbles to the mix and some at the bottom. There wasn't much soon today as our area is now filled with a nasty ass dust storm. And I just got rid of 2 pests in a row, I had grasshoppers and whiteflies (Nasty bitches). The grasshoppers left after the cannabis was washed with dish soap water, and the whiteflies don't like garlic, I rubbed every leaf of my 4 plants with a chunk of garlic, put the garlic around it, and tucked a few leaves from a rosemary (it has general repellent qualities) so the plant is probably in massive shock, but I don't doubt that love and sunshine will help it recover!

    Thanks for the help y'all!!

  10. I know some regular plants like water on their leafs, should I water my plants leafs and dirt?

  11. Don't water the leafs but maybe mist them with some water.

  12. Why don't you try covering the light? Something not dangerous of course, but like aluminum foil over the light itself?

  13. I have no access to it as it's on top of the house :( but I already transplanted into a huge pot, I am gonna use the projector to vegetation, and then when flowering I will move the pot into a dark secluded area.
