Are these spider mite spots? D:

  1. I'm really scared about those yellow spots, I really hope it's just a water problem D:

    I saw the different plant disease for Mj plants and they all look like mites the most, kinda hard to say which it is cause they all resemble the same !

    I looked here

    http://www.thenug.com/galleries/diagnose-your-sick...

    I took these close-up pics of the leaves;

    Bottom of the leaf; you can only distinguish the same spots from the top side of the leaf on the bottom, but only when there's light on it, when it becomes transparent. Like there's no physical spots on the bottom, only the ones on the top that are seen. I can't notice any black spots or white spots or eggs or nothing on the back or top of the leaf !

    Any ideas? D:
    Thanks!

  2. Those look more like water spots. What type of light do you have them under, strong enough to get burn from droplets?
    Get the most powerful handheld magnifier you can fine, need at least 10X. and go over each leaf closely. If you see specks that move, shoot the bastards. Or let us know. Neem oil is safe for newly germinated plants, so is Dr. Bronner's Lavendar soap (mix with water & spray). Mighty Wash is also awesome.
    Identify first, let us know. Meanwhile I'll get the shotgun just in case.

  3. I realllllyyyy hope they're water spots --- please good god.
    I'm using 8x 25w (=100w), cool white 6500k Cfl's at the moment at about 4 inches from the 2 plants (18/6 hours light);
    humidity always 40-50% and temp never goes over 32 --- usually fluctuates a lot :S 26-30 average with lots of wind, 22-26 during night. They're located in my small workshop (well sealed and very clean).

    I've only got a 30x-21mm, which is good I guess so I'll use that and check every leaf as said ✓

    Hahahaha of course yeah grabb that shotty just in case war start with these bastards xD! -- I'll get the hand grenades !

  4. 8x25w (each 25w equal to 100w that is)*Edit

    - I just inspected every leaf and from what I've seen in pictures, these little assholes are small, but still easily spottable (aren't they?), and the only odd thing I saw were 2 miniature (smaller than a needle tip) black dots on the under stems, so I hit them off the leaf on a white piece of paperwith a tooth pick and they were only grains of dirt; but nothing more...

    Should I still treat them, or...

    I'm trying to stay low on budget for my first grow hehe :p

    Thanks for your help ! :)

  5. not mites man, looks like just dirt. Because if you really did have a 30x & if it is really mites, you would see them clearly with the 30x. Otherwise if you're still convinced they're mites, use 1/4 teaspoon of cooking oil(let it be sunflower oil,vegetable oil, etc..), 1/2 teaspoon of dish soap on a quart of warm water(around 900 ml). Coll the water off & spray the plant cocentrating on the ubderside of the leaves, keep a fan too, would help. Must spray with cold water, to knock anything off.
    All the best.

  6. your plant looks fine..

  7. Yeah, agreed with everyone else. If there are mites on your plant you can see them move under small magnification. With a 30x you should be able to discern body shape, markings, color, everything. So if nothing is moving on the plants just be happy.

    Now all we got to figure out is WTF is a Ninja Poodle????? Would my rottie like one with mustard?[IMG]

  8. Alrighty haha I'm glad to hear that, I guess I can stop holding my breath now !

    I read some of these spiders can be smaller than a millimeter so I was lieekk shiet how the heck am I even going to see that, but yeah I guess I should be happy :)

    Lol thats for your imagination to figure what shape, color, size it figures to be hehe - its different from person to person and from puff to puff xD
    I guess with mustard would make some good munchies.......... wait......... O.O"
